Green June beetle

I have encountered for the first time the Green June beetle . I have known for years about May beatles, but not about June beetles.
The recent rains have damaged the cherries. They have cracked from too much rain and they get spoiled right on the tree. The Green June beetle apparently likes the juice of the cherries; I have seen them gathered on one cherry, five at times.

Even butterflies enjoy the cherries. At least someone is taking advantage of this situation.
