Hy hive mates, ever tried a corset gown before, cutting or rocking it. Anyway, I'm going to be showing you a corset design. It will be of help when ever you want to try a corset.
The pattern drafting, is the easiest part, after various survey on YouTube, I decided on a design I sticked with.
The above picture is the pattern illustration of a corset.
The weaving process
The already cutout pattern
The cutting process, where the pattern is cut out and placed on fabric to get the shapes right
The pattern is cut out in piece, placed and pinned on fabric, then cut out. Cut out the facing and interfacing of the fabric. The facing helps cover stiches, the interfacing gives the fabric a firm texture. Iron the necessary. Then stiching. One of the most important part of tailoring is ironing, it helps give the stiches a nice look, weaving is also important, it helps finish the Hem. All stiches where perfectly finished and ironed. Tailoring requires time and concentration, if accurate product is required. I've seen alot of corsets incupurated in various designs, and they all are good. The lower part of the dress is a pencil skirt which I described in my previous post. A beautiful cutout design was used to decorate the lower part of the gown to give it a befitting look.
You can also try a corset style at your own convenience, if you are interested. Or you can recommend corset as your next style to your designer.
