its the circle skirt cut, i needed 6 panels and each pair of panels took just under 1m of fabric (150cm wide too) and then more for the wings. the HEM is about 13m long or something... its massive.
for comparison, this is the hem of the smaller costume which only has 1/2 the skirt length
i had to cut 2cm off the whole thing and it took forever... lol... thats why it took so long to hem. (and uses so much thread) as it is SO SO SO SO long
and this is just that little tiny looking pink skirt of the other one you can see on the bench
I am mirroring that kid's expression (but much less adorably). That is SO FREAKING LONG.
And I don't suppose you can do scrappy binding for most dance costumes XD
