Today, I want to tell you about Lake Egirdir, one of the largest lakes in Turkey, the part of the lake on the borders of Isparta that remains in the North and is smaller is called Hoyran, and the part in the South is called Egirdir. A lake of tectonic origin, but due to its lithological structure, it was also affected by karstization and deepened. Lake Egirdir is 917 meters above sea level and its area is 482 square kilometers. The deepest part of Lake Egirdir, which has a coastal length of 150 kilometers, is about 15 meters. The lake is blue when viewed from above, and because of the reflection according to the state of light, it also receives different colors at certain times of the day.
Therefore, its name among the people is seven colorful Lakes. Lake Egirdir, where there are two land parts named Can Ada and Yesil Ada, feeds Gelendost stream, Mill Stream, Akçay, Kocadere, Pupa stream and many underground water sources. Egirdir, where there has been no major pollution so far, also feeds Lake Kovada. Although there are many settlements around the lake, it remains partly clean. For this reason, some of Isparta's drinking water is supplied from here.
There are several beaches in Egirdir Lake, such as Altınkum Beach, Bedre Beach, Public Beach. Among them, the most preferred one is the beach of Altınkum. Here you can also have the services that you have on most beaches on the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts. In addition to renting sun beds and umbrellas, there is also a shower, dressing room and toilet facilities. In other words, everything has been thought out and brought to your feet so that you can enjoy swimming, and you can also make camping and caravan holidays on the beach.

Bugün sizlere Türkiyenin en büyük göllerinden biri olan Eğirdir gölünden bahsetmek istiyorum
Isparta sınırlarındaki gölün kuzeyde kalan ve daha küçük olan kısmı Hoyran, güneydeki bölümü ise Eğirdir olarak anılıyor. Tektonik kökenli bir göl ancak litolojik yapısı nedeniyle karstlaşmadan da etkilenerek daha da derinleşmiş. Eğirdir Gölü deniz seviyesinden 917 metre yüksekte, yüzölçümü ise 482 kilometrekare. Kıyı uzunluğu 150 kilometreyi bulan Eğirdir Gölü’nün en derin yeri yaklaşık 15 metre.
Göl yukarıdan bakıldığında camgöbeği renginde, ışığın durumuna göre yansımadan dolayı da günün belli saatlerinde farklı renkler alıyor.
Bu nedenle halk arasındaki ismi Yedi Renkli Göl. Can Ada ve Yeşil Ada isimli iki kara parçasının bulunduğu Eğirdir Gölü’nü Gelendost Çayı, Değirmen Çayı, Akçay, Kocadere, Pupa Çayı ve birçok yeraltı su kaynağı besliyor. Şimdiye dek büyük bir kirliliğin yaşanmadığı Eğirdir, Kovada Gölü’nü de besliyor. Göl etrafında birçok yerleşim olmasına rağmen kısmen de olsa temizliğini koruyor. Bu nedenle Isparta’nın içme suyunun bir kısmı buradan karşılanıyor.
Eğirdir Gölü’nde Altınkum Plajı, Bedre Plajı, Halk Plajı gibi birkaç tane plaj bulunuyor. Bunlar arasından en çok tercih edileni ise Altınkum Plajı oluyor. Akdeniz ve Ege sahillerinde çoğu plajda sahip olduğunuz hizmetlere burada da sahip olabiliyorsunuz. Şezlong ve şemsiye kiralamanın yanında duş, giyinme kabini ve tuvalet imkanı da bulunuyor.
