Here’s why I fell out of time and disappeared from Hive😱

A long time has passed since we went through a very difficult situation that completely overwhelmed us. I disappeared from everywhere, including here, while trying to deal with it. During our journey across Turkey, we got into an accident on a major highway in the middle of a field. The circumstances were quite unusual, and opinions about what happened differ a lot, but to put it briefly, a big truck slammed into us from behind and badly crushed our car.

The moment was incredibly sudden, we drove into thick smoke, and in the very next second, the impact happened. Everything felt like a dream, during the crash, I weirdly thought I was in control 🤣, I just sat there holding on with both hands, trying not to shake.
We spun around to the opposite direction, and everything felt so strange. When the car finally stopped, pressing against the edge of the highway, we jumped out, and I started saying in this excited voice something like, “Mom, can you imagine? A huge truck hit us, but we’re alive, it’s a miracle! 😱”

It was such a weird, almost mystical situation. I started looking for my phone and found it on the opposite side of the driver’s seat, in the corner under the windshield. It was so strange because I didn’t even remember it flying out of my hands. Also, there was a red mark and a bump on my forehead, but in my memory, there was no hit, and I couldn’t understand where it came from. Of course, a lot of people gathered around other drivers and the truck driver and we all started examining the damaged car. That’s when we finally saw the source of the smoke: it was some old car driving through the field, and thick smoke had come out of its exhaust, spreading all the way to the highway.
One man told me to record a video, but unfortunately, the license plate of that car showed up clearly in it.

Later, people called the police. The police arrived and started figuring out what had happened, asking both us and the truck driver questions. With our limited Turkish, it was really hard to explain ourselves, and we had no idea what the truck driver was saying.
We kept telling them it wasn’t our fault that we couldn’t see anything because of the smoke, but the police kind of mocked us, saying, “What smoke? The weather’s perfectly clear right now.” I showed them a photo of the smoke, and then suddenly, tears started streaming uncontrollably down my face. I couldn’t calm down; I was in despair, even though at first I’d been holding it together pretty well.
I started feeling a strange pain in my head and back, and since I couldn’t remember the moment of the crash, I thought maybe I’d missed something serious. So when the police offered to call an ambulance, I agreed.

I felt like I was in some kind of daze - an odd, elevated, confused state full of adrenaline. At the same time, I was scared and stressed, crying uncontrollably. Later, in the ambulance, lying on the bed, I even joked with the paramedic and laughed, I guess it was nervous, hysterical laughter.
When the ambulance arrived, my sister and mom were still standing by the police near the car, giving statements. Without knowing much Turkish, everything felt confusing, the police were saying something about signing papers. I’d already been sitting in the ambulance for quite a while, trying to ask the medics to call my family. Meanwhile, the eager paramedic was doing his routine procedure, he poked the same arm twice.

When my family finally came, they started getting IVs too, and they even put a neck brace on me and laid me down on a medical stretcher. It was very funny because during the next road, I was constantly laughing. And when even I was carried on the bed to the emergency room. I was funny too. We arrived to the state hospital of the nearest service center.

Later, the doctors, the police and other people came, everyone began to examine us, especially me, because I was lying on the bed like a central pop star but I was not allowed to move with a corset around my neck. But since I am a manager, I also had to explain everything to everyone in Turkish at the same time, as well as answer the police question and the doctor's questions. Later we were taken to the X-ray hall and three of us were examined in turn, thank God, everything was fine. Apparently it was a minor shock.

And later we were told that we needed to stay in the hospital for about 8 hours for full control. It was quite an interesting experience. We were in a large hall where there were many beds. The medical beds were behind curtains, so when we closed the curtain, it actually felt very cozy. For the overall procedure and hospital services, we paid 1700 TL. During this time, while I was lying on the medical bed, my head kept hurting, I kept complaining to the doctor, which is why the doctor gave me an IV drip several times. I tried to sleep, though not very deeply, and we stayed there until the morning.

We checked out from the hospital at 8 am and went fir little breakfast later went to Jandarma to take permission to visit our car, which was parked in a paid parking lot, the tow truck took it there, the territory there was closed, we waited for security, they opened and we saw our car beaten, of course, we were very sad, that's our story🥲
