Hola comunidad HIVE. Nuevamente agradecido por continuar leyendo mis pequeños relatos y artículos. En esta oportunidad quiero compartir una segunda entrega relacionado el teatro de títeres al sur del estado Bolívar.
En la Guayana venezolana
Un poco de historia
Aparte de los muñecos con los cuales jugaban (Y juegan) los pueblos indígenas, y de las posibles presentaciones realizadas entre los españoles llegados a estas tierras al sur de Guayana, durante la colonia; no tengo constancias de la aparición o práctica del teatro de muñecos en la villa del Yocoima (Río que atraviesa la ciudad de Upata, aún hoy).

El registro que pude encontrar, apenas es del año 1974, cuando llegó la agrupación Argentina: La Pareja, dirigida por Eduardo Di Mauro; quienes realizaron un pequeño taller de títeres en la casa de la Cultura María Cova Fernández. El trabajo de los titiriteros argentinos da origen al primer grupo de títeres en ésta ciudad (Hasta que no aparezca otro): Zapaticos Rotos, integrado por Jóvenes estudiantes del liceo Tavera Acosta: Gustavo Rueda, Carlos Vera, Janny Alonzo, Miguel Ríos. Lamentablemente su accionar fue corto, muere su director – Gustavo Rueda- al poco tiempo funcionamiento y el grupo también perece.
En marzo de 1976, hace su aparición el grupo de títeres Jau Jau (Jau Jau es un dulce típico de la región, elaborado con casabe leche y azúcar) producto de otro taller realizado por el desaparecido Artista Titerero Eddy Salazar, jornada impulsada por el presidente de la Casa de la Cultura de Upata; el popular Ángel Romero o Ángel Romerito como lo bautizó la ciudad-fallecido en el 2018- y patrocinado por la C.V.G
Varios docentes integraron este taller: Nilian Martínez, Damaris Rojas, Antonieta Manrique, Dora Martínez, Carmen de Romero, Ángel Romero; José Guevara, Haris Rodríguez. Y un forastero venido Maracay -capital del Estado Aragua - Luis Reyes.

Luego de varios meses la agrupación se reduce a cuatro integrantes; para cuando han pasado dos años, el grupo está bajo la responsabilidad de José Guevara y Luis Reyes, quienes realizan numerosas representaciones en barriadas y otras parroquias del municipio Piar.
Por un tiempo (1.979 a 1.986) nos acompaña Carlos Romero, quien también vino de Maracay, fue director del grupo por uno cuatro años.
Durante más de cuarenta y cinco años, el grupo de títeres Jau Jau (Desde los noventa inscrita como fundación sin fines de lucros) ha participado en numerosos festivales, giras nacionales; regionales y fuera del país. Coordinado encuentros y coproducciones de teatro y títeres, junto con agrupaciones e instituciones culturales del país: Fundación La Barraca, Fundación Retablo, Titeres especie A.C, Casita de los Títeres, Manantial, Rueda del Amolador, Pito-Pito, Tienda de Muñecos; IAEM,MPPE, entre otros.
Los últimos veinticuatro años la fundación ha efectuado igual número de muestras de Títeres Escolar y veintitrés de Teatro Estudiantil; los cuales se realizan en la sede-sala de arte Jau Jau- ubicada en Upata.
Actividad donde no solo participan los niños escolares (Muestra de títeres) o liceístas (Muestra de Teatro estudiantil) si no, universidades locales, agrupaciones de títeres regionales, nacionales de títeres y teatro. Es importante reseñar la cooperación y apoyo de los docentes, directores y por supuestos alumnos de las instituciones educativas para la realización de esos eventos.
El grupo de títeres Jau Jau, ha contado con varios elencos desde su constitución, en esta oportunidad mencionaremos a los fundadores y al actual.
Quisiéramos buscar en la memoria a todas las personas, quienes experimentaron por días, meses y años; el maravilloso mundo del teatro de muñecos junto a nosotros.
Pero será en otro espacio y momento cuando honraremos su valioso aporte como creadores y como amigos. Sepan que ¡Nunca olvidamos!
Habrá la ocasión para que sus nombres acompañen a los nuestros. Agradecimiento eterno a los que siguen este mundo de conflictos, pero de bellezas también.
¡Un recuerdo permanente para aquellos que ya partieron y titearen en otras dimensiones!

Hello community HIVE. Again thank you for continuing to read my little stories and articles. This time I want to share a second installment related puppet theater south of Bolivar state.
In Venezuelan Guayana
A little history
Apart from the dolls with which the indigenous peoples played (AND play), and the possible presentations made among the Spaniards who arrived in these lands south of Guayana, during the colony; I have no evidence of the appearance or practice of puppet theater in the village of Yocoima (River that runs through the town of Upata, even today).

After several months the group is reduced to four members; by the time two years have passed, the group is under the responsibility of José Guevara and Luis Reyes, who perform numerous performances in neighborhoods and other parishes in the municipality of Piar.
For a time (1.979 to 1.986) we are accompanied by Carlos Romero, who also came from Maracay, was director of the group for one four years.
For more than forty-five years, the puppet group Jau Jau (since the nineties registered as a non-profit foundation) has participated in numerous festivals, national tours; regional and abroad. Coordinated meetings and co-productions of theater and puppetry, along with groups and cultural institutions in the country: Fundación La Barraca, Fundación Retablo, Titeres especie A.C, Casita de los Títeres, Manantial, Rueda del Amolador, Pito-Pito, Tienda de Muñecos; IAEM,MPPE, among others.
The last twenty-four years the foundation has carried out an equal number of School Puppet shows and twenty-three Student Theater shows; which are held at the headquarters-art room Jau Jau- located in Upata.
Activity where not only school children (Puppet Show) or high school students (Student Theater Show) participate, but also local universities, regional puppet groups, national puppet and theater groups. It is important to highlight the cooperation and support of teachers, principals and of course students of educational institutions for the realization of these events.
The group of puppets Jau Jau, has had several casts since its constitution, this time we will mention the founders and the current one.
We would like to search the memory of all the people, who experimented for days, months and years; the wonderful world of doll theater with us.
But it will be in another space and time when we will honor their valuable contribution as creators and as friends. Know that we never forget!
There will be the occasion for their names to accompany ours. Eternal gratitude to those who follow this world of conflicts, but also of beauties.
A permanent keepsake for those who have already departed and puppeted in other dimensions!
