Hola Hivers, hoy quiero contarles algunas de mis experiencias familiares, lo importante y hermoso que es la familia y los encuentros entre los miembros de la misma; de como armamos una fiesta sin pensarlos dos veces, ya que, cada miembro de esta familia tiene una habilidad particular, y juntos trabajamos en equipo. Primero que nada quiero agradecer por la familia maravillosa que Dios me dió, y segundo honrar el refrán que dice: No dejes para Mañana lo que puedas hacer Hoy. ¿Por qué? Porque, sin saberlo esa fue nuestra única y gran fiesta del año. No sabíamos lo que estaba por venir... 🤓¡La Cuarentena!🤓
Además de ser muy alegres y rumberos, nos gustan mucho las fiestas y las reuniones entre hermanos, familiares y amigos. Somos el gran combo, así nos referimos al grupo familiar porque somos una familia numerosa, no necesitamos invitar a más nadie creanlo, somos muchísimos, pero eso no sucede; siempre están los amigos más cercanos que forman parte de nuestra familia ya que los consideramos como tal y ellos también lo sienten así.

En febrero de este año 2020, en los Carnavales pensábamos irnos para nuestro pueblo natal, en la Costa del Estado Vargas, Venezuela, dichos planes cambiaron porque la suegra de mi hermano nos invitó para una fiesta de disfraces. “Disfraces” palabra mágica para mí, amo disfrazarme, ya que, nací un Martes de Carnaval, además como les comenté anteriormente nos encanta una fiesta, así que empezamos a trabajar en los disfraces, pensar en cada persona y lo que debían usar, no era trabajo fácil, pero como les comenté aquí hay mucho talento.
Yo fuí la maquilladora de todos, mi mejor trabajo fue el de Cruela de Vil como pueden observar en la foto, además que fue el mejor disfraz improvisado con cosas en la que teníamos en el closet: un vestido rojo, un abrigo de piel al que le recortamos y pegamos trocitos de foami negro para asemejar las manchas de los dálmatas. En casa tenemos un perrito dálmata de peluche que lo aprehendimos al abrigo. El cabello se lo dividi por la mitad y le eché talco o polvo para el cuerpo. Con ese mismo talco le eche en la cara, ya que, no tenía pintura blanca de payaso; y siguiendo los pasos de un tutorial de you tube que me buscó mi sobrino terminé mi obra maestra. Acompañada de accesorios como el collar de perrito.
Mi cuñada nos hizo varias sugerencias como: gitana, brujas, vaqueros, peloteros, payaso y la mejor creación Cruela de Vil. Con accesorios y ropa que teníamos en el closet uno que otro accesorio adicional para darle vida al personaje.
En esta imagen pueden observar el grupo de personas que fuimos desde la capital, una pequeña minoría de la familia ya que, el resto tenían otros planes y por distintas razones no pudieron asistir a la fiesta; aunque tenían muchas de ganas de ir. Todos los disfraces en su mayoría fueron diseñados con piezas que se usan a diario; menos el mío que lo mandé hacer, hace mucho tiempo atrás; de eso hacen más de 30 años cuando celebré mi cumpleaños un domingo de carnaval. Puedo decir un refrán que decía mucho mi mamá:
La segunda quincena de marzo comenzó la cuarentena, y a partir de ese momento tuvimos que quedarnos en confinamiento, los cumpleañeros de abril, mayo y junio celebraron en su casa con su familia más cercana, sin mucha aglomeración de personas por medidas de bioseguridad y el distanciamiento social. Sin embargo, cuando comenzó la flexibilización aprovechamos también nosostros para reunirnos, celebrar y festejar a los cumpleañeros del mes de agosto y próximamente los de septiembre y octubre. Nos estamos preparando para las navidades rogando que esta situación cambie y mejore para el bien de todos. Quiero dejarles una reflexión en tiempos de cuarentena la mejor medicina y vacuna para cualquier enfermedad o virus que haya en el ambiente; son el amor y la unión de la familia. Nada sube más las defensas que la alegría de estar con tus seres queridos.

Hi Hivers, today I want to tell you some of my family experiences, how important and beautiful family is and the encounters between family members; how we put together a party without thinking twice, since, each member of this family has a particular skill, and together we work as a team. First of all I want to thank you for the wonderful family that God gave me, and secondly to honor the saying **Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Because, without knowing it, that was our one and only big party of the year. We didn't know what was coming... 🤓¡La Cuarentena! 🤓
In addition to being very cheerful and rumberos, we love parties and gatherings between siblings, family and friends. We are the great combo, that's how we refer to the family group because we are a large family, we don't need to invite more people, believe it or not, we are many, but that doesn't happen; there are always the closest friends that are part of our family since we consider them as such and they also feel that way.

In February of this year 2020, during the Carnival we were thinking of leaving for our hometown, on the coast of Vargas State, Venezuela. Those plans changed because my brother's mother-in-law invited us for a costume party. Costumes " magic word for me, I love to disguise myself, because, I was born on a Tuesday of Carnival, besides as I told you before we love a party, so we started working on the costumes, thinking about each person and what they should wear, it was not easy work, but as I told you here there is a lot of talent.
I was the makeup artist of all, my best work was Cruela de Vil as you can see in the photo, besides that it was the best improvised costume with things we had in the closet: a red dress, a fur coat to which we cut out and stuck little pieces of black foami to resemble the spots of the Dalmatians. At home we have a stuffed Dalmatian puppy that we caught in the coat. I divided his hair in half and put talcum powder or body powder on it. With that same talcum powder I threw it in his face, since it didn't have any white clown paint on it; and following the steps of a you tube tutorial that my nephew found for me, I finished my masterpiece. Accompanied by accessories such as the puppy necklace.
My sister-in-law made several suggestions such as: gypsy, witches, cowboys, ballplayers, clown and the best creation Cruela de Vil. With accessories and clothes that we had in the closet one or another additional accessory to give life to the character.
In this image you can see the group of people that went from the capital, a small minority of the family since, the rest had other plans and for different reasons they could not attend the party; although they were very eager to go. Most of the costumes were designed with pieces that are used every day, except for mine, which I had made a long time ago. That was more than 30 years ago when I celebrated my birthday on a Sunday during Carnival. I can say a saying that my mom used to say a lot:
The second half of March began the quarantine, and from that moment on we had to stay in confinement. The April, May and June birthdays were celebrated at his home with his closest family, without much crowding due to biosecurity measures and social distancing. However, when the flexibilization began, we also took advantage of it to meet, celebrate and celebrate the birthdays of the month of August and soon those of September and October. We are preparing for Christmas praying that this situation will change and improve for the good of all. I want to leave you a reflection in times of quarantine the best medicine and vaccine for any disease or virus in the environment; they are the love and unity of the family. Nothing raises your defenses more than the joy of being with your loved ones.
