I'm back this week for HIVE open mic 24 with a song called Glory by Hayden Karcher The Hill Country Devil.
I was on vacation last week and didn't get a chance to make a video for the Spirit themed week.If I had done this might well have been the song I picked.
That being said we can see the themes of all 3 of the most recent open mic weeks in this one song ,Death,Spirit,Rebirth I fell this song could fit all those themes.
This was the first song I ever played for the Steemit open contest way back in February of 2018.I thought it would be fitting to play it for the Rebirth week since this new channel is kind of about me going through my own rebirth process so I thought why not go back to the beginning and to the song I started with?

"Rebirth" is totally relevant in the song here, and in your presence here on Hive. Same with "Death" and "Spirit", as you mentioned. New name, new energy. And what a pleasant song you're bringing here. I relate with the words a lot, especially: "Home is where I ought to be. Out in the gentle country breeze with my family." I and my tribe are moving to the country next month, excited for the spaciousness. Thanks for sharing another great song brother.

"Home is where I ought to be. Out in the gentle country breeze with my family." ....Its fun to sing those words through the C ,G ,Am, F ,C ,G progression.I look forward to that part of the song each time I sing it.
That part conjures up images in mind of a lone cabin out in the woods ,pine trees, a campfire , a gentle breeze the distant howl of a coyote...
This is the video that inspired me to learn it....filmed at night on a kerb by the side of the road in downtown Nashville :)...
Cool video! Man, the sound quality is extraordinary. I wonder how in the world they're capturing that crystal clear audio?
I think the audio is done in a studio and then some very slick editing is done to sync it up.Its 2 different videos if you notice in one shot Hayden has a cigarette behind his ear but in the other shot he doesn't.
This one of Matt Heckler playing his violin sitting on the cliffs of Moher in Ireland must be studio audio synced up,the wind and sound of the waves crashing would certainly be heard while recording out in the field.

Ah, gotcha. Yes, I think you're right about the studio recoding, rather than a live music feed. Cool the way they added a street soundscape in that video. And this one has a pretty natural wind sound - the wind really kicks up near the ending. I imagine it's a loud sea and harsh wind there. Wind, a.k.a. "microphone ruiner." :)
