What's up, Hivers. "Green Day" is an American punk rock band born in Berkeley, California in 1986 with the name Sweet Children, but it was not until 1989 that they changed their name to the current one. This band is made up of: Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar and vocals), Mike Dirnt (bass and backing vocals) and Tré Cool (drums and backing vocals). This band has maintained the current punk rock style and since its inception they have remained in the musical avant-garde; many bands have separated, others come back and split again, but one of the things that makes “Green Day” the band that it is, is its consistency with them and with their audience.

Green Day's sound is often compared to that of first wave punk bands like the Ramones, The Clash, Sex Pistols, and Buzzcocks. They were also heavily influenced by the Californian punk rock band Bad Religion. Billie Joe Armstrong himself has mentioned that some of his biggest influences are alternative rock bands like Hüsker Dü and The Replacements, and that his influence is particularly noticeable in the chord changes in Green Day's songs. Regarding musical production, their minimalist but powerful style has led them to establish themselves positively for their guitar and bass riffs and in the case of bass, the lines are very well executed and with very good production.

Esta banda está conformada por: Billie Joe Armstrong (guitarra y voz), Mike Dirnt (bajo y coros) y Tré Cool (batería y coros). Esta banda ha mantenido el estilo punk rock vigente y desde sus inicios se han mantenido en la vanguardia musical; muchas bandas se han separado otras vuelven y se separan nuevamente, pero una de las cosas que hace a “Green Day” la banda que es, es su constancia con ellos y con su público. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is one of my favorite songs from this band and one of the ones I love to play the most, this one, like many, has been one of the most requested at nighttime gigs the times they invited me to play at night bars, this song is the fourth single from the American Idiot album and is the band's most successful single. The single reached number two in the United States. It was named Record of the Year at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
