Blessed Holy Tuesday, I had not been here for a long time through #Gems and it brought me back an initiative of the popular @mayvil, which I found yesterday during the visit for its publications and like any Catholic person, religiously I was hooked and here I am to answer your questions. If like me you want to join, here I will share its original publication, so that you know its creator.
1.- ¿Qué opinas de la Semana Santa? / What do you think of Easter?
La Semana Santa conocida también como la Semana Mayor, es la última semana del tiempo de cuaresma, la cual inicia desde el miércoles de ceniza. Esta semana es la que nos recuerda la Pasión de Cristo, su entrada a Jerusalén, la última cena, el viacrucis, su muerte y resurrección. De como Dios nos amo tanto que entrego a su único hijo, que sin ser pecador, pagará con su sangre, por el perdón de nuestros pecados. Es una semana para hacer crecer nuestra fe y el amor por el prójimo.
Holy Week, also known as Major Week, is the last week of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday. This week is the one that reminds us of the Passion of Christ, his entry into Jerusalem, the Last Supper, the Stations of the Cross, his death and resurrection. How God loved us so much that he gave his only son, that without being a sinner, he will pay with his blood, for the forgiveness of our sins. It is a week to grow our faith and love for others.
2.- ¿Siendo una semana de descanso laboral, cuáles son tus planes? / Being a week off from work, what are your plans?
Realmente aún no tengo planes, ya que los fines de semana trabajamos en un clubs, y todavía no nos han dado confirmación de que no laboraremos, pero lo seguro es que tratare por todos los medios posible de asistir a las misas, aunque sea antes de ir a mi labores, además mi pareja @alinares estará cantando en el coro, de toda forma, para mi esta semana es para estar en la paz del hogar, asistir a misa, ya que no me gusta ir a la playa, río, piscina para estas fechas, porque son muy concurridos, me gustan más los días que estén más despejados.
I really don't have any plans yet, since on weekends we work in a club, and they still haven't given us confirmation that we won't be working, but what is certain is that I will try by all means possible to attend the masses, even before go to my work, also my partner @alinares will be singing in the choir, anyway, for me this week is to be in peace at home, to attend mass, since I don't like going to the beach, river, swimming pool for these dates, because they are very crowded, I like more the days that are clearer.
3.- De cumplir con las normas de comida en esta fecha... ¿Cuál es tu platillo favorito? / To comply with the food regulations on this date... What is your favorite dish?
Aunque es algo sencillo, amo comer pasta, con sardinas en salsa, tajada frita y queso rayado 🤤🤤🤤 es algo que disfruto en cualquier época del año, pero como me encanta el pescado podría comer cualquiera, el que se pueda económicamente 😅😂🤣
Although it is something simple, I love to eat pasta, with sardines in sauce, fried slices and grated cheese 🤤🤤🤤 it is something that I enjoy at any time of the year, but since I love fish I could eat anyone, whoever can afford it 😅😂🤣
4.- ¿Tienes alguna actividad fija a realizar en estas fechas? / Do you have any fixed activity to do on these dates?
Como lo dije anteriormente en la repuesta 2, mi actividad fija para realizar en estas fechas, es asistir a misa, vivir mi fe en Cristo.
As I said before in answer 2, my fixed activity to do on these dates is to attend mass, live my faith in Christ.
5.- ¿Cuál es la creencia con la que naciste sobre estas fechas? / What is the belief you were born with about these dates?
Fueron muchas creencias que crecí escuchando de mi abuela Venancia para estas fechas, entre tantas les mocionare algunas:
There were many beliefs that I grew up hearing from my grandmother Venancia for these dates, among many I will propose some:
- No se puede tener sexo, porque pueden quedarse pegados.
- No se pueden meter al agua, porque se pueden transformar en pez.
- No se puede barrer los viernes, porque se le esta barriendo la cara a Cristo.
- No comer ningún tipo de carne roja ni miércoles de cenizas, ni el viernes santos, y se come pescado ya que según la biblia es el que se debe.
- No utilizar clavos, porque con ellos clavaron a Cristo.
- You can't have sex, because they can get stuck.
- They cannot be put into the water, because they can be transformed into fish.
- You can't sweep on Fridays, because Christ's face is being swept.
because according to the Bible it is the one that should be eaten.- Do not use nails, because with them they nailed Christ.*
Estas creencias fueron pasando de generación a generación, hoy algunas son motivos de risas, otras aún las cumplimos, hay muchas restricciones para esta fecha, pero lo realmente importante es vivir nuestra fe, siendo mejores personas, transformándonos de una manera genuina, siendo solidarios con nuestro hermano, claro esta, dentro de nuestras posibilidades. Espero que estos días reconozcamos que Jesús se entrego por el perdón de nuestros pecados y vivamos en la fe de su amor.
These beliefs were passed from generation to generation, today some are reasons for laughter, others we still comply with, there are many restrictions for this date, but the really important thing is to live our faith, being better people, transforming ourselves in a genuine way, being in solidarity with our brother, of course, within our possibilities. I hope that these days we recognize that Jesus gave himself for the forgiveness of our sins and we live in the faith of his love.
