Hey Hive!
I'm a 29-year-old currently living and working in Tokyo, Japan. I moved to Japan from Canada two years ago, but I haven't made many friends here yet, and I hardly ever go outside except to buy groceries.
That being said, whenever I do go outside, I make sure to take photos so I can remember the occasion.
This is a photo of the shopping area near Nakano Station. I live pretty close to here, but I've only visited once this year, in the spring (hence the cherry blossoms). There weren't many people on the streets, as everyone was very cautious about the spread of the virus.
Although, strangely, some parts of Tokyo were as busy and bustling as ever...

Tokyo really is a beautiful and unique city with lots to see and do, but due to the pandemic (and also partially due to my personality), I feel like I have barely experienced all that this place has to offer. For example, I never go out to eat-- this is 100% due to the pandemic. However, I've always enjoyed cooking and baking quite a bit, and lately I have been getting into food photography.
I mostly eat an unprocessed, low-sugar diet (but not a strict ketogenic one). I enjoy sashimi a lot, but cooked fish is good too. This is a photo of seared tuna with basil, and some fresh fruits and vegetables. In the future, I might share some of my recipes.
I have been thinking about starting a blog for a while now, in hopes that it might motivate me to explore the city more. I also want to improve my photography and writing. What better place to do it than on Hive?

I like how you write and your photos, moreover the place you live must be really interesting for a foreigner, even though very difficult to integrate.
Maybe that Blog can open you for more adventures.
