Hey! It seems that your father was quite a visionary, that's very nice! I agree that the camera is just a tool, the hands and the mind behind it are the most important. Deception and lying are common in any medium, including in this one as well. Checking multiple sources and doing a bit of research before taking anything as "true" would definetely help nowadays.
What I find unfortunate is the way people hide themselves behind the photoshoped images, cool surroundings aka vacations, expensive cars and bikes, just to run from their own sadness. Photography used as an antisadness pill. It makes more damage than good because it doesn't heal, it just hides.
