Al inicio de la cuarentena, cuando todos estábamos buscando opciones sobre qué hacer con tanto tiempo libre, se me ocurrió la idea de dibujar un mandala en la pared y este fue el resultado.

At the beginning of the quarantine, when we were all looking for options on what to do with so much free time, I came up with the idea of drawing a mandala on the wall and this was the result.

La idea era cubrir con el dibujo esa fea mancha que tenía la pared y por supuesto, embellecer el espacio; así que puse manos a la obra, con un poco de temor, ya que era la primera vez que dibujaba un mandala de esas dimensiones y además con materiales con los que antes nunca había intentado, pero a pesar de todo, me gustó mucho el resultado.

The idea was to cover with the drawing that ugly stain on the wall and, of course, beautify the space; so I set to work, with a little fear, since it was the first time that I drew a mandala of those dimensions and also with materials that I had never tried before, but in spite of everything, I liked the result very much.

Fueron pocos los materiales que utilicé, solamente tempera negra, un par de pinceles de diferente grosor y un lápiz de grafito para trazar algunas líneas antes de pintar.

 There were few materials I used, only black tempera, a couple of brushes of different thickness and a graphite pencil to draw some lines before painting.

No realicé un diseño previo, los patrones se me fueron ocurriendo en el proceso y justamente eso es lo que hace a este tipo de proyectos, especial.

 I didn't make a previous design, the patterns came to me in the process and that's exactly what makes this kind of project special.

Fue un trabajo de varios días, la verdad es que me tomé mi tiempo para evitar errores ya que no tenía como borrar en caso de equivocaciones. Detenimiento, paciencia y mucha dedicación son la clave.

 It was a work of several days, the truth is that I took my time to avoid mistakes because I had no way to erase in case of mistakes. Detention, patience and a lot of dedication are the key.

Siempre se pueden incorporar colores al diseño de mandalas, todo depende del gusto de cada quien y la creatividad que le imprimas a tu trabajo.
