It's hard to believe that it has been more than a year since I last posted anything from this account. I guess time flies, regardless of whether you're having fun or not!

Part of the issue has invariably been that second layer Hive-Engine based communities seldom seem to last very long.
Of course, I lost a lot of steam when both of the previous Creative Coin front ends were shut down, which made it a little bit more difficult to follow the part of the creative community actively interested in the token.
Unlike many of Hive's second layer tokens, CreativeCoin seems to have found a bit of a "secondary life" from being part of liquidity pools, some of which have offered those who want to put their tokens to use some fairly handy returns over the past couple of years. That said, the typical trend of a Hive-Engine token being unable to hold onto its value over time remains an issue.

But I continue to offer my support as best I can, with about 130,000 tokens still invested across three different liquidity pools.
The almost inevitable issue with 2nd level communities (and their tokens) seems to be that they set forth with great promises and ideas about how they're going to do things and ”change the game” but anywhere from a few months to a few years down the road somebody discovers that making a go of it is much harder than you think and (especially!) that you need something more substantial to offer people than simply the promise ”you can earn some of our tokens if you post here!”
Sure you can! And as soon as people get their hands on some of those tokens they turn around and sell them… and you quickly end up with a situation in which there is a marketplace filled with sellers and no buyers because — after all — what is the compelling reason to be a buyer and to hold said tokens?
I just try to be grateful for whatever stability I can find!
Till the next one, thanks for stopping by!

A whole year away and you come back with a post this sharp about tokenomics — worth the wait, truly! 🐝 That "everyone wants to earn tokens, nobody wants to hold them" problem you describe is basically the honey-hoarding paradox of crypto: easy to produce, hard to keep anyone invested in the long haul. Staying loyal across three liquidity pools for this long says a lot about patience over hype. Glad you're still buzzing around, even quietly!

Thanks for mentioning our liquidity pools! We've also been adding LP rewards to the SWAP.HIVE:PHOTO pool (because photography is an important aspect of the Creative Coin arts community and because PHOTO trades with CCC, so we'd like to see more stability in the HIVE:PHOTO pool, which will come with more liquidity). This week we created a new, one-year distribution contract on the HIVE:PHOTO pool. It overlaps with the current distribution, so for the next couple of weeks liquidity providers will be earning payouts twice a day!
So truth
