Have you ever wondered what science really thinks about Jesus of Nazareth? Beyond the realm of faith, I want you to know what the opinion of those who are supposed to have the answer to most of our questions is.
More than 90% of scientists and historians not only believe that Jesus of Nazareth existed, but they also claim it. For them the figure of a man who came to earth and broke through the common patterns of thought is real. In spite of this, science does not believe in the resurrection.
There are many names of influential people who have brought about change in the world throughout history, names like Albert Einsten, Julio Cesar, Galileo Galilei and even Hitler. However, none of them has impacted history as much as Jesus, who marked a before and after and is named in most books to clarify the times (B.C., A.D.)
According to the bible, Poncio Pilato, a high magistrate of ancient Rome who held a high position of military chief, washed his hands and handed over Jesus to the people. Definitely Poncio Pilato is recorded in the history of Israel, and not only in the Bible as a prefect of Judea at that time.
Also, in some New Testament gospels, the apostles claim to have “touched and touched the word of life, Jesus of Nazareth” (1 John 1:1), attesting to its existence.
But what did Jesus of Nazareth do to impact the history of the world and mark a before and after? It doesn’t matter if you are a man of faith or not, what Jesus did when he walked this earth was something that no one ever did and we would all like to know.
Crucifixion was the most painful and humiliating death penalty in the Jewish tradition, only applied to criminals, pirates and those who blasphemed against the word of God and his Holy Spirit. Jesus was crucified as a “blasphemer”, because He said that He was the son of God and therefore, He was the voice of God on earth. Furthermore, all the miracles that He performed were attributed to God, claiming that the power came from God.
Beyond His countless miracles, in which most historians believe, Jesus’ message to mankind raised the levels of thought and broke through the patterns that were established by the Roman Empire and mankind. Even today, the concepts of love and wisdom expressed in the bible (in the old and new testaments) are so profound and true, that they can only come from God, this is what I believe.

Son muchos los nombres de personas influyentes que han generado un cambio en el mundo a lo largo de la historia, nombres como Albert Einsten, Julio Cesar, Galileo Galilei e incliso Hitler. Sin embargo, ninguno de ellos ha impactado tanto la historia como Jesús, el cual marcó un antes y un después y es nombrado en la mayoría de los libros para aclarar los tiempos (a.C., d.C.)
Según la biblia, Poncio Pilato, un alto magistrado de la antigua Roma, el cual ocupaba un alto cargo de jefe militar, se lavó las manos y entregó a Jesús al pueblo. Pero, ¿que fue lo que hizo Jesús de Nazareth para impactar la historia del mundo y marcar una antes y un después? No importa si eres un hombre de fe o no, lo que Jesús hizo cuando camino en esta tierra fue algo que nadie jamás hizo y todos quisiéramos saber.
La crucifixión era la pena de muerte mas dolorosa y humillante en la tradición judía, solamente era aplicada a criminales, piratas y a los que blasfemaban en contra de la palabra de Dios y su Santo Espíritu. Jesús fue crucificado como “blasfemo”, debido a que El decía que El era el hijo de Dios y por lo tanto, El era la voz de Dios en la tierra. Además, todos los milagros que hacia se los atribuía a Dios, afirmando que el poder provenía de Dios.
Mas allá de sus incontables milagros, en los cuales la mayoría de los historiadores creen, el mensaje de Jesús a la humanidad elevó los niveles de pensamiento y atravesó lo esquemas que estaban establecidos por el imperio romano y la humanidad. Incluso en la actualidad, los conceptos de amor y sabiduría expresados en la biblia (en el viejo testamento y en el nuevo) son tan profundos y verdaderos, que solo puede provenir de Dios, esto es lo que yo creo.
