RE: Great progress has been made...just wish we've learned our lesson.

Week after week, I like that. Developments proceed on both our side as HIVE and their side as STEEM. HIVE is super new. Even if it was technically a hardfork of a previously built chain, there are still a lot of things to do and a lot of things to change. It is especially hard when there is no Big Boss around. It's all teamwork but it's slowly growing. Apps are being ported, dev environments being ported. It's getting there.

STEEM on the other hand... I honestly do not know, first, came the post censorship, which then turned into node-level censorship. Weird, unknown accounts popping and receiving witness votes to become consensus witnesses from the same people, witness introductions translated by Google Translate, it's really weird. To be honest, to go as far as creating fake accounts, fake witnesses.

We'll probably never know when a hardfork will affect STEEM, change how everything is being done. Maybe make power down instant, maybe a few days. I am a new witness, but even with my limited experience, I can understand what is going on. Having the "top 50" witnesses all under one person, the Big Boss isn't really a good feat. Especially for a cryptocurrency that was built upon DPoS. DELEGATED. Proof of Stake.

I don't see any future for STEEM. Even though it is sad. Yeah, the price may go up and down here and there, but there is no future. HIVE, on the other hand, is open to everyone. Doesn't matter if you just registered or here for years. You can become a witness, (a real one, mind you) a blogger, a developer, a project owner everything. The possibilities are endless.

Again, a big thanks and good luck to everyone who is taking part in the development of HIVE, whether by directly programming the chain, developing new apps, helping out the community, and finally, being the community. STEEM is owned by one, HIVE is owned by all.
