I have watched series pretty much all my life, and as Netflix became more and more important in the entertainment industry, I obviously started to watch content produced by Netflix. As you all know, this streaming service is the most important of all, and they produce so much content that choosing just 3 series was very hard. There are great series that I didn't include, such as Ozark, Peaky Blinders, and Narcos.
One cool thing about Netflix is that they always release all of their episodes at once, instead of releasing them on a weekly basis. Personally, I don't enjoy waiting a whole week to watch a new episode, and I always binge watch any series I am interested in watching. Usually, I need to wait several weeks for the complete season to be available to binge-watch, but with Netflix, this isn't the case. I hope Netflix continues to release all episodes at once because it is better for the viewer, the reason why most companies do weekly releases is that it keeps the people talking about the show for more time, which can help in making the show even more popular.
Without further ado, these are my 3 favorite Netflix series of all time:

Black Mirror
This series is actually my favorite series of all time. It is very unique because it is a science fiction drama anthology per episode, which means all episodes are independent of each other and people can watch them in any order. Each episode of this series serves as a mini-movie that explores the potential impact futuristic technology can have on human lives.
The stories focus on the bad impact for the most part, but there are some episodes that focus on the good impact such as San Junipero and Hang the DJ. The plots are usually mind-bending and extremely intriguing if you enjoy the scifi genre and futuristic technology. There are also episodes where dark events take place, such as Black Museum and USS Callister.
As is usually the case with anthologies, not all episodes are of equal quality, but personally, until season 5 I enjoyed all of them. The cast is always different on each episode and a lot of well-known actors/actresses have participated in this show such as Daniel Kaluuya, Jon Hamm, Toby Kebbell, Anthony Mackie, and Miley Cyrus.
Netflix also produced a special episode called Bandersnatch and what makes this episode special is that it is interactive. Throughout the episode and in certain key moments, the viewer will be able to choose which decision the main character takes. The fun thing about this is that different decisions take the viewer through different story paths and ultimately different endings. The story has a lot of branches and exploring them is very entertaining.
Bandersnatch isn't my favorite episode though. If I had to choose my 3 favorite Black Mirror episodes, it wouldn't be an easy choice but I would choose San Junipero, Playtest, and Fifteen Million Merits especially due to how dystopic that one was. However, if you ask any person who enjoyed this series which ones are their favorite episodes you will receive a different answer each time. Black Mirror is an extremely creative show, and I am amazed how they have managed to produce cool anthology episodes time and time again.
In my opinion, the seasons with the best episodes are seasons 3 and 4, season 5 on the other hand is the one with the worst episodes. The 2 first seasons are also cool although I think the show had a smaller budget during that time but they are also worth watching of course.

Sin embargo, si le preguntas a cualquier persona que disfrutó de esta serie cuáles son sus episodios favoritos, recibirás una respuesta diferente cada vez. En mi opinión, las temporadas con los mejores episodios son las temporadas 3 y 4, la temporada 5 en cambio es la que tiene los peores episodios. Las 2 primeras temporadas también son buenas, aunque creo que la serie tuvo un presupuesto menor durante ese tiempo, pero también vale la pena verlas, por supuesto.
Dark
Just like Black Mirror, I consider Dark a masterpiece as well. This is a German series about time traveling and the story isn't just the most mind-bending one I have ever seen in my life, it also has one of the most touching endings that I honestly wasn't expecting.
The story begins in a small town with the mysterious disappearance of a little kid. There are 4 main families that are intertwined throughout the story, and viewers need to pay a lot of attention because the events and the plot can get confusing. This is a series great for binge watching so that it is easy to not lose the thread between the seasons. When I watched that show I needed to read a summary of the previous season when a new one came out, otherwise I would felt completely lost.
This series belongs in the scifi genre simply because it has time traveling, but its main genres are drama and thriller. It is honestly one of the best written productions I have seen in my life, and unlike other successful show, this one wasn't overmilked. The show was meant to have just 3 seasons and that was all. Each season feels right, I never felt they were filling the episodes with useless scenes or anything like that. It has a proper length and the necessary screen time to tell the story.
I have seen a lot of time traveling films such as Primer, Predestination, Timecrimes, and none of them have a story as good as Dark. If you have seen Predestination, you might remember the massive twist on that one, well, that twist pales in comparison with what Dark has to offer.
If you haven't seen this series, my recommendation is to not read anything about it because it would be easy to encounter a spoiler by accident. Just know this is one of the best time traveling stories ever written, there are a lot of twists along the way, and the ending will be very touching.
La historia comienza en un pequeño pueblo con la misteriosa desaparición de un niño pequeño. Hay 4 familias principales que se entrelazan a lo largo de la historia, y los espectadores deben prestar mucha atención porque los eventos y la trama pueden volverse confusos. Esta es una serie ideal para ver en maraton, para que sea fácil no perder el hilo entre las temporadas. Cuando vi esta serie, necesitaba leer un resumen de la temporada anterior cuando salía una nueva, de lo contrario me sentiría completamente perdido.
Esta serie pertenece al género de ciencia ficción simplemente porque tiene viajes en el tiempo, pero sus géneros principales son el drama y el thriller. Honestamente, es una de las mejores producciones escritas que he visto en mi vida y, a diferencia de otras series exitosas, esta no fue abusada por sus creadores o sobre extendida. La serie estaba destinada a tener solo 3 temporadas y eso fue todo. Cada temporada se siente bien, nunca sentí que estuvieran llenando los episodios con escenas inútiles ni nada por el estilo. Tiene una duración adecuada y el tiempo de pantalla necesario para contar la historia.
He visto muchas películas sobre viajes en el tiempo como Primer, Predestination, Timecrimes, y ninguna tiene una historia tan buena como Dark. Si has visto Predestination, es posible que recuerdes el twist masivo en see film, bueno, ese twist palidece en comparación con lo que Dark tiene para ofrecer.
Si no has visto esta serie, mi recomendación es que no leas nada al respecto porque sería fácil encontrar un spoiler por accidente. Solo debes saber que esta es una de las mejores historias de viajes en el tiempo jamás escritas, hay muchos twists en el camino y el final será muy conmovedor.
The Haunting of Hill House
The Haunting is an anthology series but unlike Black Mirror that is an anthology per episode, this one is an anthology per season. This means each season is a different story, in that way it is similar to American Horror Story, which is also a horror anthology per season.
Right now, there are 2 Haunting seasons, the first one, Hill House and the second one, Bly Manor. Both are good, but Hill House is a masterpiece of the horror genre, while Bly Manor was just a good and enjoyable production but far from being considered a masterpiece in my opinion.
I have been a horror fan since I was little and as I grown older, it became harder for me to actually get scared while watching a horror production. It is also difficult to find good horror movies/series because this genre is one of the most challenging to properly produce.
This series, especially in the first episodes, have one of the best horror scenes I have seen in recent years. I mean, the beginning of the series was just almost perfection for me. Eventually the series stops focusing too much on the horror and begins to focus more on the drama, but those first episodes were awesome and horror fans will certainly love them. Watching this series was the last time that a horror production made me feel a bit scared, it has been a few years and no movie/series have made me feel that again, that's how good it was. I had high expectations for Bly Manor but that can hardly be called a horror production, it was more like a drama with ghosts.
If you are a horror fan, or if you have grown disillusioned with recent horror productions and haven't seen The Haunting of Hill House, I envy you. Because if you decide to check this series out, you will be in for a great ride. Probably the best horror ride in years.
En este momento, hay 2 temporadas de Haunting, la primera, Hill House y la segunda, Bly Manor. Ambas son buenos, pero Hill House es una obra maestra del género de terror, mientras que Bly Manor fue solo una producción buena y agradable, pero lejos de ser considerada una obra maestra en mi opinión.

Si eres un fanático del terror, o si te has desilusionado con las recientes producciones de terror y no has visto The Haunting of Hill House, te envidio. Porque si decides echar un vistazo a esta serie, te espera una gran experiencia. Probablemente la mejor experiencia de terror en años.
