Hoy tuve la oportunidad de pasear por el Centro Histórico de Cumaná, estado Sucre aquí en Venezuela y me encontré con un vibrante y hermoso evento cultural en el Parque Ayacucho.
Today I had the opportunity to stroll through the Historic Center of Cumana, Sucre state here in Venezuela and I found a vibrant and beautiful cultural event in the Ayacucho Park.
Allí me cautivaron las artesanías, la pintura y los bailes tradicionales, me sentí atrapada en ese hermoso mundo donde las mujeres artesanas muestran las populares muñecas de trapo que elaboran con amor y esmero, siendo estas confecciones un medio de sustento para ellas, por otro lado pude ver a los hombres que elaboran instrumentos musicales y a los niños y jóvenes que dejan al descubierto sus cuadros pintados con gran entusiasmo e inspiración.
There I was captivated by the handicrafts, painting and traditional dances, I felt trapped in that beautiful world where women artisans show the popular rag dolls that they make with love and care, being these confections a means of livelihood for them, on the other hand I could see the men who make musical instruments and children and young people who leave their pictures painted with great enthusiasm and inspiration.
Realmente pensé que esto era lo único que me atrapaba y me dejaba mirando, les cuento que después de un rato me sentí familiarizada con muchas personas y hasta bailé, realmente es y fue muy estimulante y motivador ver a personas mayores disfrutando plenamente de esta actividad, demostrando que la edad es solo un número.
I really thought that this was the only thing that caught me and kept me watching, I tell you that after a while I felt familiar with many people and even danced, it really is and was very stimulating and motivating to see older people fully enjoying this activity, demonstrating that age is just a number.
Su energía y pasión por la vida me recordaron que debemos vivir cada momento con alegría y entusiasmo. Ser artesano es un arte que nos permite disfrutar sin trabas de lo que nos gusta y abrirnos a innovar y crear.
Their energy and passion for life reminded me that we should live every moment with joy and enthusiasm. Being an artisan is an art that allows us to enjoy unhindered what we like and open ourselves to innovate and create.
