MONOMAD - By the shores of Ganges

The photos are taken inVaranasi, India. This city of Lord Shiva is located on the banks of the Ganges and is famous as one of the 7 most important cities of Hinduism and an important pilgrimage destination for both Hindus and Buddhists. Buddha gave his first speech in the small town of Sarnath outside Varanasi. All the photos are taken from the garden in my hotel, which is overlooking the shores of Ganges. The crowds and persistant souvenir vendors made me prefer to look at at life along the shores from the hotel.
