For drafting, editing a post:-

  • Hive.Blog
  • Peakd.com
Some of the important features of Peakd.com
  • The editing section has a lot of features including snippets, side by side review and the editing section is relatively user-friendly.
  • Customizable permalink & customizable cover images, templates, customizable author names are some important and distinct features of Peakd.
  • The peaklock is an easy to use thing for the users particularly for security and easy to remember a numeric passcode.

Hive.Blog is a general interface and still in beta, so lot more features you can see in the coming days. In both Hive.blog and Peakd.com, post drafts are saved but in Peakd it is saved on the server-side whereas in Hive.blog it is saved locally in the browser.

Overall, Peakd looks like a comprehensive frontend for Hive users to edit, draft and post their content.

Wallet

  • Hive Keychain
  • Hive Wallet
  • Vessel
  • Hive signer

You can find the Hive wallet integrated to Peakd.com. So Peakd.com is a comprehensive Hive front end for all-purpose use for general Hive users.

However, if you are more concerned about safety and security, and looking for more advanced use of the wallet, then Vessel is highly recommended.

Hivesigner is for authentication to various dapps. Hive Keychain is also another easy to use tool where you don't need to enter the keys every time you authorize and it is an extension on the browser, just install it and perform all operation that is required to authorize an operation, without entering the key. So it is also safe.

If you are looking for Hive Wallet in your smartphone, then Android and iOS versions are already available.

Hive Dapps

Want to explore various dapps in Hive?

Then go to Hivedapps and check which dapps are there in the Hive ecosystem. You can check the category of dapp as well as stats like nos of active users, transactions, rewards, etc.

You can also check here- https://hive.io/eco/

As many as 16 dapps are already deployed on Hive Blockchain in just one month time and many more are in the pipeline as Hive Blockchain is pacing very nicely since its inception.

Witness Voting

If you want to vote for Hive witness/witnesses or set the proxy, then you can do so here- https://wallet.hive.blog/~witnesses

However, you can also vote for a witness & set proxy from Peakd.com, Vessel wallet, etc.

You can vote for a maximum of 30 witnesses.

Automation

If you want to automate various activities in Hive such as upvote, claiming of rewards, scheduling a post, etc then Hive.vote is another such great tool. You can also build a fan base, create your own curation trail or join a curation trail and downvote trail.

Particularly for claiming of rewards and joining a popular curation trail to earn maximum curation reward, it is a great tool.

Explore activities in Hive Blocks

If you want to explore the contents, vote, transfers, etc block by block in Hive Blockchain, then here is the list of Block explorers for you.

In Hiveblockexplorer.com you will be able to explore the Blockchain properties, Top 20 witnesses, Reward pool status, etc.

In Hiveblocks.com you can find the Blockchain current state and properties as well as all the activities. In Hiveblocks.com/@username you can check the block level activities of any user. Just replace the username with any valid Hive username to search the various activities at the block level, which can also help you to find the transaction id of each activity. By clicking on witnesses you will get to know the witness lists and their status participation, version, etc.

Hive-db.com is a more detailed way to explore block activities. You can also get a lot of data about the distribution of reward. The monthly and daily distribution of rewards you can check from here. The current height of the block, network performance, reward pool, global blockchain properties, consensus state, etc can be explored from here.

Hive DAO

Want to see which proposals are being funded by Hive?

Then go to Hive DAO. Here you can see what is the total budget, what is the daily budget. Which are the proposals that are being funded daily? Who are the entrepreneurs, developers, marketers, etc who are working to make the Hive ecosystem better and accordingly receiving funds from Hive? Being decentralized, community votes which proposals should be funded and which should not be.

You can also vote a proposal(s) by clicking on the "up" button.

Download excel sheet statement of your Transfers, Curation Reward, Comments, Benefactor reward, etc

Go to Hive2csv. Put your username, type of operation or activity, specify the date and get your statement downloaded in an excel sheet.

This tool can help you audit your Hive account from time to time.

Scribe( Audit revision history in Hive Blockchain)

If you want to audit the revision history of posts and comments in Hive blockchain then Scribe is available at your disposal.

Dlease (Leasing platform for Hive)

Using Dlease platform, you can lease out your extra Hive Power and earn passive income. You can also request a lease of HP, customize your offer and list it in the open market. Someone may respond and fill your request.

There are many other tools in the Hive ecosystem, but I have listed out those ones which are generally required for average users. The tech-savvy developer's tools are also available. If you want to dig more into it, then please visit Hive projects.
