Cenderawasih blue scientific name: Paradisaea rudolphi) is a medium-sized bird of paradise, with a length of about 30cm, of the genus Paradisaea. ... blue paradise is a species polygamy. Male birds entice couples with dance rituals that show off their decorative feathers.
Adult male birds have ornamental tufts of feathers on the sides of the chest which are purplish blue when viewed from below and reddish brown when viewed from above. On the chest there is a black oval circle with red edges. Diekornya there are two long black ropes with a rounded blue tip. Female smaller, without ornamental feathers and reddish brown lower body.
The blue Cenderawasih distribution is found in the eastern and southeastern forests of Papua New Guinea, generally from an altitude of 1,400 meters to an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level.
Based on the continued loss of forest habitat, as well as the population and area where these birds are found to be very limited, the blue Cenderawasih is evaluated as vulnerable in the IUCN Red List. This species is registered with CITES Appendix II and is protected by law in Papua New Guinea.
