RE: Beautifully Sublime Sunday

It isn't, but, it is worth the effort. The Easter Tree comes from Germany.

The tradition in Germany to decorate the branches of trees and bushes with eggs for Easter is centuries old, but its origins have been lost. The egg is an ancient symbol of life all over the world. Eggs are hung on branches of outdoor trees and bushes and on cut branches inside. Osterbaum in German means Easter Tree… but what is an Easter Tree? These pretty little “trees” are generally made from cut twigs and short branches of pussy willow or forsythia plants. The branches go into a vase and are decorated with eggs that have been blown out and painted or small wooden ornaments

We have always done one and it is just one of those things that make me smile, every time I pass it. The words are true, I believe them with my whole being. I hope you are having a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words.
