Primer personaje original en proceso... aunque sea un concepto más que un personaje en si... pero... ¿se comienza con algo?
First original character in process... although it is a concept more than a character itself... but... we start with anything, don't we?
Es una criatura del bosque pacifica y leal; habitante del mas profundo entorno, lejos de toda contaminación e infraestructura. Los personajes basados en este concepto siempre me llamaron la atención, desde sus aspectos hasta las personalidades que se les suele dar. Los inspirados en los siervos mas que todo por ese estilo calmo que han trasmitido en leyendas e historias.
También estaba en mi idea practicar con un estilo artístico nuevo para mi; aunque he ido mejorado las sombras y los trazos que hago de esta manera, en aquel tiempo esto era un gran avance.
It is a peaceful and loyal creature of the forest; inhabitant of the deepest environment, far from all pollution and infrastructure. The characters based on this concept always called my attention, from their aspects to the personalities that are usually given to them. The ones inspired by the deers more than anything by that calm style that they have transmitted in legends and stories.
It was also in my idea to practice with a new artistic style for me; although I have been improving the shadows and strokes that I do in this way, at that time this was a great advance.
Proceso/Process:
Comenzar con el boceto es lo primero en toda lista, tenia una idea base se a lo que quería llegar pero durante el dibujo fue cuando empece a pulir y decidir entre todo.
Starting with the sketch is the first thing on every list, I had a basic idea of what I wanted to achieve but it was during the drawing that I started to polish and decide between everything.
Colores bases y los tonos del ambiente son lo primero en toda pintura, saber cual es la sensación que se quiere transmitir. En este caso la paz y naturalidad era lo que mas buscaba, tonos verdes y azules haría muy bien el trabajo.
Base colours and ambient tones are the first thing in any painting, knowing what feeling you want to convey. In this case peace and natural feeling was what I was looking for, green and blue tones would do the job very well.
Una vez tienes los colores buscados los detalles llegan por consiguiente... me gustaría poder explicar mas a fondo como lo logre, pero lance tantos trazos al azar en aquel entonces que apenas logre entender que estaba haciendo :'D
Once you have the colors the details come next... I wish I could explain further how I achieved this, but I threw so many random strokes back then that I could barely understand what I was doing : 'D
Lo que siempre recuerdo y tomo en cuenta es el agregar el color del ambiente en las sombras, para dar ese sensación de pertenencia con el fondo. El fondo y las gotitas fueron ideas que agregue al final, quería que los trazos se vieran lo mas desorganizado y espontaneo posible... como todo bosque y área natural.
What I always remember and take into account is adding the color of the environment in the shadows, to give that feeling of belonging to the background. The details on the background and the drops were ideas added in the end, I wanted the strokes to look as disorganized and spontaneous as possible... like every forest and natural area.
