“Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.”
I did a vlog of it a few days ago for those that prefer to watch rather than read, so you can check that out below.
But for this post, I would like to quickly show you how it is going so far. The most exciting part right now is we can actually harvest so of my produce and it's the most satisfying feeling ever.
Strawberries
This is by far one of the plants that is really doing well. Everyday now we can pick about 10 strawberries. A little trick we are doing is cutting them up in small pieces and enjoying them in natural, honey yorgurt.
Like I mentioned in the beginning, we have 2 species of strawberries, the small ones that I understand grow in the woods and the big juicy strawberries you'd normally find in the supermarket.
Both of these plants are doing amazingly well.
Tomatoes
Slowly but steadily getting there.
The small cherry tomatoes are just about to rippen. They keep on popping new cherries every other day so I have very great hopes in them
The big tomatoes aren't doing that bad either, they are blossoming and also flowering everyday. I think if all goes well, I will be having fresh tomatoes off the garden this summer!
Green Beans
Finally!
This babies have started to flower.
I'll be honest with you guys, this were on trial and error basis. I honestly didn't think they would sprout. At some point I had given up on them. But once they started to pick up, it's like they couldn't stop. They are actually growing through the protective net I have around so I might have to do something about that this weekend.
They look amazing! They make me so happy. Indeed, where there's a way there's a will!
Spinach & Kale
Of course there's always the good and the bad when it comes to trying out gardening and actually making it work. So far, the spinach and kale are struggling the most as they are constantly getting attacked by god knows what!
I'm told it's most likely snails. How horrible that is.
They eat up so much of them that I have hardly picked any kale. The Spinach we have harvested 1 time and enjoyed them quite well. Though at this rate I think I should have picked more than that if they weren't being invaded. They also seem dry on some leaves, but that's most likely because I haven't been watering them enough.
Coriander, Rosemary & Mint
Can you believe it? I still haven't made use of this mint leaves!
I need to grab some had liquor to start popping some cocktails around here. This mint is so darn good to go to waste. I also understand you can make some tea out of it, but I am not a tea kind of girl, well, at least not this kind if you know what I mean ;)
The Rosemary and coriander I am making use of every week. I love them both. Very flavorful!
Melons, Zucchini & Peas..
Saving the most Struggling for last!😂
Pheeeww!
This melons, zucchini and peas are really sssttrruuuggghhhlliinnngg!!
You can't even tell they were all planted together with the rest of the produce. Shame shame!
The had started to come up but unfortunately the snails got to them before I could protect them. So here they are trying to come back to life. At this late I am not sure I'll be eating any of them this summer, but it sure would be nice if they grow out, no matter how long they have to take!
The Farmer!
Well, thanks for stopping by.
They struggle to keep this little garden going continues. Hope you enjoyed looking at my plants though. Leave me some feedback if you like. Until the next update, ciao!

Hehe, trust me, they taste even better. What's your add? Maybe I can mail you some😂🤔🤔
I really loved the idea of growing my own in my own backyard. It's like planting money since you don't need to consider buying food plus it's really healthy lifestyle to the fact that you know it's 💯 percent organic.
Those tiny little strawberries look appealing, I need one :P .. Glad to see that you are working on the garden, I don't have any place to grow vegetables.. Urban life sadly...
Oh my gosh! I could grow plants out of anything, just hit me up for advice if you need tips heheh. You don't even need a garden :D
Come over while they still last!
