State of entitlement at Hive! Initiative

in GEMS4 years ago

Hi Hivers, lately I have identified with many of the initiatives created here at Hive. I think that in some way, they all seek to consolidate a healthy platform that avoids the mistakes of the past and is a place where we all win as we grow as a community.

It is true that there are many good things here as well as things to improve, such as the rule of law in hive, pointed out in the most recent @bluemist initiative, where he mentions examples of disagreements from some hivers.

Notably, with no intention of flattery, -only acknowledgment - Lord Blue is one of the most active healers in the entire hive and with his broad vision he could glimpse what is right and what needs to be improved on the way.

On the rule of law

As a hiver on this platform, I consider that when we got here it is because we heard or read someone's magic word: Money. It is the main factor that most moved us.

In a very particular case, I always registered on the other social networks but without getting too involved because I considered a waste of time to spend all day in front of a computer while life slips through my fingers.

When I heard about Hive, then Steem, I went in excited because they told me I could earn more in one day than what they paid me in a fortnight of work. This moved me because we all want financial well-being and some of us want to earn it in a healthy way. I just asked what to do?

At that time I did not ask about my rights but about my duties to be successful and put the three plates of food on my family's table. It was not an easy road, it was many hours of sleeplessness, of time invested reading about curators, writing in competitions, creating in arts and above all dealing with my self-esteem when my publications were ignored. XD

I knew that I had no right to demand that publications vote for me because I did not sign a contract with anyone, but I also understood the great work that curators do. In fact, later I managed to work as a curator for a small community and I also felt dissatisfied with not being able to value all the inputs due to the limited power.

So, on both sides we are strained. To stay and prevail at Hive takes a lot of maturity, balance, understanding, and patience. In life there is a power struggle, ambition is not good company, the love of money is not.

Certainly it is very unpleasant to see groups that build their conspiracy to benefit only that, but we must see beyond our noses because there are always others with a conscience of community, of sharing, of supporting, etc.

Treat with rights ...

Today I see the great opportunities that Hive offers for everyone who lives here, however there are some things that need to be improved.

Example:

Lack of communities that are responsible for retaining or orienting new hivers, although the strategies of using other networks to attract investors and new members are good, it is also important that hive has a training, orientation and support school for new ones to start with good feet. Because if they are not trained and oriented, many will enter and exit through the back door, perhaps disappointed and with a bad vision of what Hive is not.

I see that a lot of power is wasted on things that maybe it is not the time to address in a nascent platform, but each curator or community has their tastes that perhaps for me or for others are different. I hope to be wrong.

Speaking of a solution for nonconformities ...

Modulators are needed that look beyond their interest group and investigate those hivers who create good content and are too often ignored.

I think that, as the voting power is limited and the hive grows, we must understand that not all of our publications have to be voted.

On the other hand, people who are a celebrity on other social networks, should not complain about the rewards they get here in such a short time. Just keep up the good work and when hive is a global celebrity, then we will all be famous. XD.

To finish, it only remains to say that, here we are embarked and I believe that in the end it is for the good, we learn to live with the experiences and knowledge acquired, be as participatory and original as possible. Thank you very much for reading me and I apologize if I said something wrong in ignorance.

Saludos y abrazos.
