Hola, Hive.
Llegó el mes de diciembre en un año muy particular, un año de aprendizajes, de pérdidas, de mucho crecimiento interno y de golpes duros tanto a nivel material como espiritual. Ya está por comenzar la última semana y nos damos cuenta que se nos fue el año encerrados, inventando, creando, en algunos casos, sobreviviendo.
Hoy es 25 de diciembre y anoche veía por las redes a algunas personas preguntarse “¿dónde dejé el entusiasmo?”. Sí, es cierto. A pesar que salimos a la calle y vimos mucha gente y mucho movimiento, la realidad era otra. Mucha gente, poco entusiasmo.
¿Qué sucedió? ¿Fue la pandemia? ¿es la economía? ¿O es una desorientación adquirida por años de desconocer el verdadero significado de la navidad? Si, ese mismo significado con el que nos suelen bombardear algunos canales de televisión a través de las cientos de películas navideñas que se han hecho a través de la historia del cine.
The month of December arrived in a very particular year, a year of learning, of loss, of much inner growth and of hard blows both on a material and spiritual level. The last week is about to begin and we realize that the year has passed us by, inventing, creating, in some cases, surviving.
Today is December 25th and last night I saw some people on the nets wondering "where did I leave the enthusiasm? Yes, it is true. Although we went out on the street and saw many people and a lot of movement, the reality was different. A lot of people, not much enthusiasm.
What happened? was it the pandemic? is it the economy? or is it a disorientation acquired by years of not knowing the true meaning of christmas? Yes, that same meaning with which we are often bombarded by some television channels through the hundreds of Christmas movies that have been made throughout the history of cinema.
Entonces creo que ha llegado el momento de reflexionar un poco y darnos cuenta que la navidad no es el momento de hacer grandes fiestas o de recibir una cantidad exagerada de regalos, enormes y costosos. La navidad no es para presumir nuestra ropa nueva y esos zapatos que este año para muchas personas se quedaron en las vitrinas.
La navidad es el momento en el que reconocemos que hace un poco más de 2000 años, nació por allá en el medio oriente, esa persona que vino a este mundo a enseñarnos el verdadero sentido de la vida. Fue rey, pero nació, vivió y murió pobre, sin embargo fue un Maestro que con su sola presencia nos trajo los más grandes regalos que ningún ser humano jamás nos ha podido ni nos podrá dar.
So I think it's time to reflect a little and realize that Christmas is not the time to throw big parties or receive an exaggerated amount of gifts, huge and expensive. Christmas is not a time to show off our new clothes and shoes that for many people this year were left in the showcases.
Christmas is the moment when we recognize that a little more than 2000 years ago, that person was born over there in the Middle East, that person who came into this world to teach us the true meaning of life. He was a king, but he was born, lived and died poor, yet he was a Master who by his very presence brought us the greatest gifts that any human being has ever and will ever give us.
Este rey que se volvió niño para nacer en un pesebre nos vino a enseñar que el verdadero secreto de la felicidad no es la abundancia material, ni las grandes fiestas, ni los regalos costosos, sino el aprender a amarnos los unos a los otros, como dice el mandamiento, amar a nuestro prójimo como a nosotros mismos.
No importa si hay o no hay una abundante cena. Con un mendrugo de pan en la mesa y mucho amor en el corazón, podemos seguir adelante y disfrutar del verdadero significado de la navidad y de este modo todos habremos conseguido el entusiasmo, la felicidad y el amor y así, siempre, siempre habrá una feliz navidad.
This king who became a child to be born in a manger came to teach us that the true secret of happiness is not material abundance, nor great feasts, nor costly gifts, but learning to love one another, as the commandment says, Love your neighbor as yourself.
It doesn't matter if there is or isn't an abundant dinner. With a crust of bread on the table and a lot of love in our hearts, we can go ahead and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas and in this way we will all have achieved enthusiasm, happiness and love and so there will always be a merry Christmas.
