A propósito que el lunes pasado se celebró el Primer Día de la Salsa en Venezuela, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes este excelente tema que inmortalizó El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. Se trata de una canción compuesta por Florencio Morales Ramos, mejor conocido como Ramito y que fue uno de los grandes éxitos de la famosa orquesta boricua.
No Hay Cama Pa’ Tanta Gente nació como un tema navideño, pero se quedó y desde su estreno se interpreta y se escucha durante todo el año. Su particularidad es la poesía, escrita en décimas y el carácter jocoso, uno de los sellos de Ramito.
By the way, last Monday was celebrated the First Day of Salsa in Venezuela, today I want to share with you this excellent theme that immortalized El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico. It is a song composed by Florencio Morales Ramos, better known as Ramito and was one of the greatest hits of the famous Puerto Rican orchestra.
No Hay Cama Pa' Tanta Gente was born as a Christmas song, but it stayed and since its premiere it is played and heard all year long. Its particularity is the poetry, written in tenths and the jocular character, one of the seals of Ramito.

Este tema cuenta las particularidades de una fiesta navideña a la que han sido invitados los músicos más importantes del momento y a través de las décimas magistralmente escritas por Florencio Morales Ramos, se narra cada una de las travesuras de los convidados, de los cuales siempre aparece uno haciendo el comentario “no hay cama pa’ tanta gente” refiriéndose a la gran cantidad de personas presentes en la fiesta.
El coro principal, “Pa’ fuera, pa’ la calle” da paso a un soneo muy humorístico que cuenta los excesos cometidos por los invitados a la reunión y al escucharlos, no queda más que pronunciar el segundo coro, “tíralos pa’ abajo que son un peligro arriba”. En fin, no cabe duda que fue una gran fiesta.
En esta oportunidad hemos escuchado a la Orquesta Sinfónica de Aragua en su concierto Salsa Sinfónica, realizado el 3 de mayo de 2019 en el Teatro de la Ópera de Maracay, acompañando la gran voz de Juan Antonio Ruiz con arreglos y dirección musical de este servidor. Espero lo hayan disfrutado.
