My first digital portrait drawing beared man 🧔 || Wacom drawing pad

Drawing a portrait on a paper was my hobby during the Covid first curfew and it really helped me to make my time useful and spent well on those time.

It all initially started from there and i tried to make it realistic look by the use of drakness of pencils like HB,2B,3B .....upto 10B and i have up those things along with the lockdown times itself as i have no free time to draw, but now I just decided to practice myself and proceed the same with digital format and hence here i am.

This is the picture of first portrait which i drew to practice today and hope it looks well. And i always prefers to choose the portrait with long hairs there is a good reason for it let me explain that on following passage.

As this picture was drawn from my imagination i didn't took anyone as a reference i can do whatever i was wishing and hence I made a basic structure like two eyes and nose and mouth. If these three things matches to the portrait of the person you are drawing then half of your work has been done.

And the face shape it surely resembles the person which you are trying to draw. If nose, eyes and mouth matches exact to the reference picture with having a proper face outer line then our portrait will looks entirely different so need much attention here in this portion.

And let's make the background opacity to the low & to just to show small layer of eye placement i have drawn the exact outline of the eye which i wanted and here the picture of the eye which i drawn. And the nose i didn't felt satisfied but although it looks good.

I was wishing the nose line should need to be draker as the eyes and i darkened the end. As the shadow region should need to be dark and that's why I completely made a black mark on underneath nose and eye ball and left small circles as white to show that reflection of light on the eye ball just to make the portrait looks realistic.

Lets come to the moustache area. Here we can able to show more details to the portrait person belongs to which country. Actually this picture have a moustache like South Indian style and shading of the hairy area makes your portrait looks good and neat.

Inorder to make this portrait very easy and neat i have decided to make long beared and moustache. Now look this picture will resembles the man with the age of 25+ and it has good look when I drew without beard mean i have to draw the jaw line perfectly and need to add the shadows. If it was just a beared mean we have easily hide the minor mistakes which we done on the portrait.

The major portion of the portrait sketch employes the beared and moustache. When we look viewers point those areas will cover the most attention and it will not highlight the minor or major mistakes in portrait too.

Device used :- Wacom drawing pad
PC Model:- Dell Inspiron 15.
Time taken to draw :- 2 hours.

Additional notes:- we have used the Wacom drawing pad connect to the laptop through usb and draw this picture. As i already have an experience portrait i did it with short time. If you are new please take time and draw and advice you to draw picture with most hair it will looks good and perfect ☺️.
