Hello! These days I have been busy finishing not very satisfactory jobs and in life captive by the rebound in cases in the country. Even so, between work stress and the fear of contagion, I maintain telephone contact with loved ones that I miss a lot.
From a memory came this illustration of @alejandra.her. It is from a few years ago. Here I was pregnant with my first baby. So it is a very special portrait. It's me, but there are two of us: Mom and Gala.
If I have a friendship to celebrate, it is Alejandra's. A mixture of love and humor, admiration, poetry, not a few memes and an inexhaustible enthusiasm in projects that we push through conversing between cups of coffee and text messages at unexpected times.
It is said that the line that found Alejandra, that line that does not let go of her and that makes her an indelible trace in the digital world, she found between her mother's sewing patterns and an album with the leaves of quiet trees, little gifts from her grandmother in times of sunshine and laughter.
It is also said that there is a cacao tree that always bears fruit, and that the many seeds of each one hides the name of all the characters that she has drawn since she was a child.
And as each character is a little bit her, and a little bit each daughter that accompanies her, that tree is between humid mountains and an immense sea that awaits her, or that perhaps she hopes to see us arrive in a crazy small fishing boat, those that left on the beach with hair full of wind and salt.

¡Hola! Estos días he estado ocupada terminando trabajos no muy satisfactorios y en la vida cautiva por el repunte de casos en el país. Aún así, entre el estrés laboral y el miedo al contagio mantengo el contacto por otros medios con personas queridas que extraño mucho.
De un recuerdo salió esta ilustración de @alejandra.her. Tiene pocos años. Aquí yo estaba embarazada de mi primera bebé. Así que es un retrato muy especial. Soy yo, pero somos dos: Mamá y Gala.
Si tengo una amistad que celebrar, es la de Alejandra. Mezcla de amor y humor, admiración, poesía, no pocos memes y un entusiasmo inagotable en proyectos que empujamos conversando entre tacitas de café y mensajes de textos en horarios inesperados.
Se dice que la línea que encontró a Alejandra, esa que no la suelta y que la hace ser trazo indeleble en el mundo digital, la halló entre los patrones de costura de su madre y un álbum con las hojas de tranquilos árboles, regalitos de su abuela en tiempos de sol y risas.
También se dice que hay un árbol de cacao que siempre da frutos, y que las muchas semillas de cada uno esconde el nombre de todos los personajes que ha dibujado desde que era una niña.
Y como cada personaje es un poco ella, y un poco cada hija que la acompaña, ese árbol está entre montañas húmedas y un mar inmenso que la espera, o que tal vez espera vernos llegar en un alocado peñero, de esos que te dejan en tierra firme con el cabello hecho viento y salitre.
