Hoy continúo compartiendo con ustedes mi proyecto de arte, que como siempre les menciono, trata de recrear obras de artistas famosos sobre CD's reciclados.
Un proyecto que hasta ahora me ha dejado muy satisfecha, inspirada y queriendo mucho más. Los retos que me pongo son cada vez más altos y estoy tratando de entender todo el dominio del pincel que tenían estos grandes pintores.
Hace poco me compré un set de pinceles que me han ayudado bastante y que espero poder dominar poco a poco.
Volviendo a lo que íbamos, René Magritte es uno de mis artistas favoritos, me llama mucho la atención la profundidad de sus obras y los mensajes ocultos en sus obras.
Hace muchos años lo conocí por mera casualidad, navegando en internet me apareció la imagen de esta obra y me gustó mucho, yo estaba comenzando de novios con mi esposo y asocié inmediatamente nuestro amor con esta manera un poco loca de demostrarlo.
Como les comentaba cuando pinté la obra "El hijo del hombre", esta sería una de las obras que me gustaría pintar y pues aquí se las traigo hoy.
A pesar de que el espacio es reducido, como me comentaba una amiga en el post anterior de Magritte, me las ingenié para que cupiera casi toda la obra.

Today I continue to share with you my art project, which, as I always mention, tries to recreate works by famous artists on recycled CDs.
A project that so far has left me very satisfied, inspired and wanting much more. The challenges that I set myself are getting higher and higher and I am trying to understand all the mastery of the brush that these great painters had.
I recently bought a set of brushes that have helped me a lot and that I hope I can master little by little.
Returning to what we were doing, René Magritte is one of my favorite artists, I am very struck by the depth of his works and the hidden messages in his works.
Many years ago I met him by mere chance, browsing the internet the image of this work appeared to me and I liked it a lot, I was starting as a couple with my husband and I immediately associated our love with this a little crazy way of showing it.
As I was telling you when I painted the work 'The Son of Man', this would be one of the works that I would like to paint and here I am bringing it to you today.
Despite the fact that space is limited, as a friend told me in Magritte's previous post, I managed to fit most of the work.
Como siempre iniciando con todos los materiales a mano, tengo el CD de base pintado con una capa en color negro, mis pinceles, óleos, aceite de linaza, y unos pañitos para no manchar todo y poder limpiar el pincel.
Tracé las líneas de guía con un lápiz. Esto aunque se borrará con las pinceladas es súper importante porque me permite tener una idea de como comenzar a pintar.
As always starting with all the materials at hand, I have the base CD painted with a black layer, my brushes, oils, linseed oil, and some cloths so as not to stain everything and to be able to clean the brush.
I traced the guide lines with a pencil. This, although it will be erased with the brush strokes, is super important because it allows me to have an idea of how to start painting.
Comencé pintando las paredes, la del lado derecho con un rojo vibrante, el techo de un blanco crema, he mezclado un poco de blanco de titanio con color piel para lograrlo.
De igual forma pinté la base de los pañuelos con los que esta cubierta la cabeza de los personajes.
La pared de fondo en la obra original era un poco más grisácea, pero me gusta que no sea tan sobria y le agregué un poco más de azul.
I started by painting the walls, the one on the right side with a vibrant red, the ceiling a cream white, I have mixed a little titanium white with skin color to achieve it.
In the same way, I painted the base of the handkerchiefs with which the heads of the characters are covered.
The background wall in the original work was a little more grayish, but I like that it is not so sober and I added a little more blue to it.
Con un pincel seco de cerdas duras fui dando pequeños golpes sobre la pintura para dar ese efecto difuminado. Es complicado dar tales detalles en un espacio reducido, pero como les dije, todo es un reto bien entretenido. 😊
With a dry brush with stiff bristles, I tapped the paint to give that blurred effect. It is difficult to give such details in a small space, but as I told you, everything is a very entertaining challenge. 😊
Hice los detalles en los trajes de cada uno, para que no fuera un gran manchón negro, hice algunos detalles en el traje del hombre con un poco de blanco.
I did the details in the suits of each one, so that it was not a big black spot, I made some details in the man's suit with a little white.
Ahora el reto mayor, pintar la textura y dobles de los paños. Aquí fue donde pasé la mayor parte del tiempo porque no es fácil lograr tal cosa. Yo había hecho algo similar en una pintura digital, pero no es lo mismo cuando se está pintando con óleos porque al mínimo roce se corre la pintura.
También esto aporta cierta ventaja al poder corregir cualquier error al momento, así que entre errores y aciertos fui lográndolo poco a poco.
Now the biggest challenge, paint the texture and doubles of the cloths. This was where I spent most of my time because it is not easy to achieve such a thing. I had done something similar in a digital painting, but it is not the same when painting with oil paints because the paint runs at the slightest touch.
This also brings some advantage to being able to correct any mistake at the time, so between mistakes and successes I was achieving it little by little.
Finalizando la pintura con algunas sombras, ciertos detalles por aquí y por allá. Me ha gustado mucho el resultado, siento que quedó muy similar a la obra y fue bastante terapeutico pintarlo, estaba con un poco de malestar en el cuerpo y esto me ayudó a subir los animos y no dejarme caer aún más caer en él.

Finishing the painting with some shadows, certain details here and there. I really liked the result, I feel that it was very similar to the work and it was quite therapeutic to paint it, I had a little discomfort in my body and this helped me to raise my spirits and not let me fall further into it.

Sii, la idea es crear una especie de cortina o algo similar que pueda llenar una pared, aún estoy trabajando mentalmente de como las exhibiré, pero mientras sigo creando y creando. 😊
