I want to tell you that I love rice with chicken and surely many of those who read me as well, and those who have not tried it will love it when they try it, because it is an exquisite and delicious dish to share, in fact rice with chicken is a one of my favorite foods, and of many Venezuelans too, because it is a very popular dish here in my country, but I love the one that my grandmother prepares so I prepare it just like her, since she showed me her recipe and today I want to share it with you.
First I want to tell you that I used to do it in a different way, that it was cooking everything together, but it was not the same, that is why the recipe is very important, now I make each thing separately to achieve so that everything is well cooked and it really remains richer and with a unique flavor.
This rice with chicken was made by my sister and I yesterday, because as I told you, the neighbor Yolanda (The queen of the party) was having her birthday and her daughter who is abroad asked us to please prepare a delicious meal for her mother. Arroz con pollo, for her is also her favorite food, so she transferred us to buy all the ingredients for this delicious dish.
Ingredientes: // Ingredients:
- Pollo // Chicken
- Zanahoria // Carrot
- Vainitas // Vanitas
- Guisantes // Green peas
- Tocineta // Bacon
- Chorizos // Chorizos
- Arroz // Rice
- Aliños // Dressings
All the ingredients are to everyone's taste, but basically those are what I use, and it is delicious. This time I used a lot from home because there were several guests for the delicious lunch to celebrate Mrs. Yolanda's birthday.
Preparación:
We start by chopping the carrot and the green beans into small pieces to put them to cook in a pot with water and they can do it together, this until they soften.
On the other hand, we cook the rice with water, garlic, color, oil, and salt (the amount you think you are going to eat), but remember that it yields a lot with the vegetables, chicken and the other ingredients.
Then we cook the chicken breast in water and salt and then shred it, and while it was cooking, it was chopping the very small dressings to leave them ready and then sauté them in the water that we cooked the chicken with the bacon and the sausages that had previously been chopped very small and fried in a frying pan with a little oil.
So, once the shredded chicken, the chopped dressings and the bacon with the sausages are ready, we add the above in the water that was left from the chicken with a little seasoning and color and let it cook for a few minutes so that all the flavors are concentrated .
NOTE: Do not let the water dry completely, leave it a little so that when you stir this with the rice it is not so dry and it is very tasty.
Listo todos los ingredientes, tomamos una olla grande para revolver todo ahí, pero vamos agregando un poco de casa cosa (incluyendo los guisantes) y vamos revolviendo, así hasta que se terminen todos los ingredientes. Empezamos con arroz, luego verduras, y por ultimo el guiso, y así sucesivamente.
All the ingredients are ready, we take a large pot to stir everything there, but we are adding a little of each other (including the peas) and we are stirring, like this, until all the ingredients are finished. We started with rice, then vegetables, and finally the stew, and so on.
And voila, you can accompany it with some good garlic and parsley breads (like we did yesterday), some french fries, or some slices, with whatever you prefer, but I assure you that it is the best rice with chicken that you will eat in your life. Well, they already know that grandmothers' food or their recipes are unique.
