If memory serves me right, I made this portrait about six months ago the day I wrote my last paper for my third year. It was such a relief and at the same time something to think about. The course title was 'Advanced Orchestra Studies' and I must confess that the title marched the difficulty level. As usual I was the last to leave the hall having exhausted my sheet...so sad that no one got an A, not even me 😔...
One of the reasons I made this portrait back then was because I remembered how much I used to love making aged sketches because of the drama on the face acted by wrinkles and worn out flesh. Making this portrait was fun and it gave me a whole new drive... linking me to my younger self.
There is much to say infact about this particular sketch but I'll love to hear from you first and would patiently share them in my next post. I made this sketch using only my 10B Bianyo pencil, and I do hope you love it....
