Hello dear Hive friends, I send a greeting to all the artists who bring their beautiful works to share. This time I want to share my latest work. It is a sculpture made with recycled parts of a Black Widow spider, this spider has earned a reputation for being very poisonous and dangerous, both for humans and other insects. I made this sculpture trying to give it a cyberpunk aesthetic, a futuristic art style that mixes the future with the past in a polluted and overcrowded environment. Hope you like.
Hola queridos amigos de Hive, envío un saludo a todos los artistas que traen sus hermosas obras para compartir. Esta vez quiero compartir mi último trabajo. Se trata de una escultura echa con partes de reciclaje de una araña Viuda Negra, esta araña se ha ganado una fama de ser muy venenosa y peligrosa, tanto para los seres humanos como para otros insectos. Hice esta escultura intentando darle una estética cyberpunk, estilo de arte futurista que mezcla el futuro con el pasado en un ambiente contaminado y superpoblado. Espero que les guste,
To make this sculpture I used a useless light bulb, a beer can, some LEDs and also PC parts. The tools I used were the scissors, tweezers, pliers, measuring ruler and super glue.
Para hacer esta escultura utilicé un foco inservible, una lata de cerveza, algunos leds y tambien partes de PC. Las herramientas que utilicé fueron las tijeras, pinzas, tenazas, regla para medir y super pegamento.
The hardest and hardest job is making the limbs. To make them, we cut a strip from the can and remove 2-centimeter pieces. In total we must make 8 tubes of 4 centimeters and 12 tubes of 2 centimeters to be able to make the 8 limbs that the Black Widow has.
El trabajo más arduo y dificil es hacer las extremidades. Para hacerlas cortamos una tira de la lata y sacamos retazos de 2 centimetro. En total debemos hacer 8 tubos de 4 centimetros y 12 tubos de 2 centimetros para poder hacer las 8 extremidades que posee la Viuda Negra.
First of all, we make the 4 extremities that are longer, the front extremities and the rear extremities, when we have them ready we glue them at the bottom of the bulb using super glue. It is important to press hard with a clamp to leave a flat part so that it is easier to stick them since it is a circular surface and we must ensure that it is fixed as well as possible.
En primer lugar hacemos las 4 extremidades que son mas largas, las extremidades delanteras y la extremidades traseras, cuando las tengamos listas las pegamos por la parte inferior del foco usando super pegamento. Es importante presionar fuerte con una pinza para dejar una parte plana y que así sea más facil poder pegarlas ya que es una superficie circular y debemos procurar que quede fija lo mejor posible.
With the remaining tubes we will make the other 4 extremities that are a little shorter. Then with super glue we begin to glue them one by one. At the end we can see how the limbs have been and we can see that we are doing well with the process. Just looking at her this way looks terrifying.
Con los tubos restantes haremos las otras 4 extremidades que son un poco mas cortas. Luego con super pegamento comenzamos a pegarlas una por una. Al final podemos observar como han quedado las extremidades y podemos observar que llevamos bien el proceso. Con el solo hecho de verla de esta manera se ve aterradora.
Then we began to add more details to the body of the spider, such as 2-centimeter tubes that resemble cannons to shoot.
Después comenzamos a agregar más detalles al cuerpo de la araña, como por ejemplo unos tubos de 2 centimetros que se asemejan a unos cañones para disparar.
The last details added are, the piece of a circuit board that goes on top, the led spotlight that goes on the front to give it a more robotic look and below it the input of a USB port.
Los ultimos detalles agregados son, el trozo de una placa de circuitos que va en la parte superior, el foco led que va en la parte frontal para darle un aspecto más robótico y debajo de ella la entrada de un puerto USB.
The last detail to finish is to place the poisons that the spider uses to feed itself and to inject the poison into its victims. We make them following the same model of the extremities and we place them in the front part.
El último detalle para finalizar es colocar las ponzoñas que utiliza la araña para alimentarse y para inyectar el veneno en sus víctimas. Las hacemos siguiendo el mismo modelo de las extremidades y las colocamos en la parte frontal.
This is the final work. In the images of spiders I saw that they are small and this one was a monstrous size, but it is because the bulb I use is very large. I hope soon to find a slightly smaller bulb to make another model, I think that would increase the level of difficulty for me and would be a great challenge for me. Así ha quedado el trabajo final. En las imagenes de arañas vi que son pequeñas y esta me quedó de un tamaño monstruoso, pero se debe a que la bombilla que utilizo es muy grande. Espero pronto encontrar una bombilla un poco más pequeña para hacer otro modelo, creo que eso aumentaría el nivel de dificultad para mi y sería un gran reto para mi. Espero que les haya gustado mi aporte, pueden comentar que tal les ha parecido y dejar su opinión, para mi es importante. Con los problema de luz y el internet que hay en Venezuela es dificil para mi estar más seguido en la página pero siempre leo gustosamente sus opiniones. Hasta pronto, que esten muy bien.
