Pachacamac offers us a beautiful climate throughout the year, as well as a quiet area within the chaos of Lima, but not everything is rosy for us, since the irrigation water that we use for the production of vegetables in our Casa Moche brings I get a lot of salts.
Thus, seeing these symptoms in our soil is part of our daily lives. However, this has not been an impediment to producing our vegetables, which, to our surprise, grow and develop without any problem, including those that are sensitive to saline soils such as lettuce.
How do we do it? Maintaining a moist soil, we do it through daily irrigation thanks to our drip irrigation system and also by the use of ground covers to reduce evaporation. The key is to not allow the soil to dry out.
