La mañana siguiente ella muy temprano partió en compañía de sus padres, pero antes pidió hacer una parada en aquel lugar donde conoció a su amigo de la infancia quien se convirtió en su primer y único amor, donde recibió su primer beso, allí estaba ella con una carta en sus manos temblorosas a punto de desmoronarse, buscó una piedra y la colocó encima para protegerla del viento, fue precavida al ponerla en una bolsita de plástico por si llegaba de imprevisto la lluvia.
The next morning she left very early in the company of her parents, but before she asked to make a stop in that place where she met her childhood friend who became her first and only love, where she received her first kiss, there she was with a letter in her trembling hands about to crumble, she looked for a stone and placed it on top to protect it from the wind, she was cautious to put it in a plastic bag in case the rain came unexpectedly.
Ella sentía que dejaba su vida en aquellas líneas y en aquel lugar, le aterraba la idea de no volverlo a ver, él que le mostró lo que es el amor, ese que fue creciendo sin malicia y envuelto en la inocencia para quienes por primera vez aprendían de ese sentimiento puro que protege, complace y permite conocer la felicidad de amar y ser amado.

Emy fue diagnosticada de cáncer, pero estaba muy avanzado, los médicos en la pequeña isla donde vivía no le daban garantía de recuperación, debían buscar ayuda más especializada y avanzada, le habían dado de vida tan solo unos pocos meses, pero ella quería luchar, sentía que apenas su vida empezaba, tan solo tenía 22 años y quería sentir la dicha de disfrutar el amor de Ronny, no era justo para ninguno de los dos.
Emy was diagnosed with cancer, but it was very advanced, the doctors on the small island where she lived gave her no guarantee of recovery, they had to seek more specialized and advanced help, they had given her only a few months to live, but she wanted to fight, she felt that her life was just beginning, she was only 22 years old and she wanted to feel the joy of enjoying Ronny's love, it was not fair to either of them.
En su carta le suplicaba su perdón por no habérselo confesado pero al mismo tiempo le prometía que lucharía por ganarle un tiempo más a la muerte, ese tiempo que usaría para ser feliz a su lado, sus lágrimas cayeron en el trozo de papel, allí quedo la evidencia de lo triste y desgarrador que fue escribir aquellas líneas. Ella sabia que le causaría un gran dolor, pero era inevitable, en su caso ella anhela una nueva oportunidad y de lado del Ronny deseaba contar con su apoyo incondicional, aunque no podía estar a su lado, deseaba que él abrigara la esperanza de poderla volver a estrechar en sus brazos.

Ronny como de costumbre se dirija a su encuentro y esa mañana solo consiguió la carta que ella le dejó, al verla se llenó de temor, no sabía que le esperaba, mientras le daba lectura sentía una angustia en su corazón, deseaba que fuera un mal sueño, parecía que nada tenía justificación, mientras más la leía más crecía su dolor, sus piernas les fallaban, quería correr hasta su casa y comprobar que todo era un error, pero no pudo, apenas sus piernas dieron unos cortos pasos y se desplomó en la arena donde el sol acrecentada su desesperación, gritó por varios minutos, solo el mar fue su receptor, se hallaba perdido y con sus manos llenas de tierra al aire lanzó, sus lágrimas corrían y a él no le importaba, pero aún así, no lograba recuperar la calma, era como si el mar lo había sumergido en sus profundas aguas sin permitirle respirar y salir de ellas.
Ronny as usual went to meet her and that morning he only got the letter that she left him, when he saw it he was filled with fear, he did not know what was waiting for him, while he read it he felt an anguish in his heart, he wished it was a bad dream, it seemed that nothing was justified, the more he read it the more his pain grew, his legs failed, he wanted to run to her house and prove that everything was a mistake, but he could not, he screamed for several minutes, only the sea was his receiver, he was lost and with his hands full of earth he threw, his tears ran and he did not care, but still, he could not regain his calm, it was as if the sea had submerged him in its deep waters without allowing him to breathe and get out of them.
Miraba a su alrededor, deseaba verla caminar hacia él, pero todo resultaba imposible, era todo muy frustrante.
He looked around him, he wanted to see her walking towards him, but everything was impossible, it was all very frustrating.
El mar ahora era su única compañía, sus olas estaba tan agitadas reclamando de alguna manera la compañía de la hermosa Emy. Transcurrían los días y no se sabía nada de ella, el lugar donde estaban era muy retirado e imposible para poderse comunicar.

La espera se hacia interminable pero él seguía acudiendo a su lugar de encuentro, mientras aprovechaba para derramar sus angustias, al viento, a la arena y al mar. También miraba con frecuencia al cielo para pedir misericordia para su amada, él sabia de la existencia de un ser Supremo y en él se quiso apoyar.

Hizo todo lo que pudo y pasado dos meses sus fuerzas decaían, estaba desanimado pensando que todo era inútil, pero su corazón no lo engañó, pronto llegó la noticia que Emy dio su último respiro.
He did everything he could and after two months his strength declined, he was discouraged thinking that everything was useless, but his heart did not deceive him, soon came the news that Emy gave her last breath.
El último deseo de Emy fue susurrado a sus padres, entre la agonía y sus palabras débiles que casi no se lograban escuchar, que si moría, le permitieran a Ronny estar a solas y sus cenizas poder regar en aquel inmenso mar, que les dio la oportunidad de crecer uno al lado del otro, ver sus travesuras y ser cómplice de lo que sintieron cuando el amor no se pudo ocultar más.
Emy's last wish was whispered to his parents, between the agony and his weak words that almost could not be heard, that if he died, they would allow Ronny to be alone and his ashes to water in that immense sea, which gave them the opportunity to grow next to each other, see their antics and be an accomplice of what they felt when love could not be hidden anymore.
Así termina la historia de Emy y Ronny que la muerte llegó a separar, él se lamentaba por no aprovechar cada minuto y expresarle por su timidez todo lo que ella significaba para él, el cosquilleo que sentía cuando su sonrisa se dibujaba en su hermoso rostro y él lograba ver. Pero ella vivirá para siempre en el corazón de su amado que siempre visita las orillas del mar, imaginándose su presencia y reviviendo cada momento que lograron pasar, sabiendo que sus huellas escondida en la tierra están, de todas sus caminatas que a diario solían dar.
Thus ends the story of Emy and Ronny that death came to separate, he lamented for not taking advantage of every minute and expressing to her because of her shyness all that she meant to him, the tingling he felt when her smile was drawn on her beautiful face and he managed to see. But she will live forever in the heart of her beloved who always visits the shores of the sea, imagining her presence and reliving every moment they managed to spend, knowing that her footprints hidden in the earth are, of all their daily walks they used to take.
Moraleja: Jamás demos por sentado las cosas, el día de mañana no nos pertenece, aprovechemos cada minuto para expresar lo que sentimos, de reír y hacer reír, de amar y ser amado, porque el después dolerá, simplemente no habrá vuelta atrás.
Moral: Never take things for granted, tomorrow does not belong to us, let's take advantage of every minute to express what we feel, to laugh and make people laugh, to love and be loved, because afterwards it will hurt, there will simply be no turning back.
