The psychological effects of rain on our emotional stability

The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus has hit our spirits, and there are already millions of citizens around the world who are suffering the psychological wear and tear caused by the death of a family member. In concrete terms, these are frequent cases of anxiety and depression associated with the stress of confinement and social distancing.

Faced with negative emotional states, applying psychophysiological or emotional self-control techniques will help us to improve our psychic states, by provoking modifications of the state or biological functioning, one of these techniques is to have contact with the rain.

There is no doubt that the rain awakens many emotions among people, some people are more sensual and others more melancholic, it all depends on the mood of the people, in the case of those who suffer the consequences of the pandemic, the rain will allow us to relax and enter into moments of serenity that will lead us to value life and make better decisions.

Rainwater can make us feel renewed, since rain is related to water and has feminine characteristics, and also has the gift of nourishing and purifying, so in Christianity the first rite is baptism, and it is clear that the rain cleans all the negative energies and all the bad emotions that we face throughout life.

Rain often has the unusual power to relax our senses and our minds, it intoxicates us, renews the atmosphere, brings out flashes of color to our dull cities and often invites us to that serene, almost magical introspection that will allow us to overcome these painful situations that many of us have experienced with the pandemic.

Hello, in my adolescence (the height of my idealism) I loved the rain too much...; then, the disappointments that I had to go through, made me sick of the mind and that it made me rigid and anxious. Now that all of this is almost over, it is allowing me to recover that pleasure, to the point that one night it was drizzling and somewhat anxious, I decided to go out with my trunk uncovered to feel the contact of the water with my skin, attesting to everything said in this article. This being the case, not only do I confirm that, but I recommend the aforementioned: contact with Nature will always do us good!

Hola, en mi adolescencia (la cumbre de mi idealismo) amaba la lluvia por demás...; luego, las desiluciones por las que tuve que pasar, me hicieron enfermar de la mente y que esta me pusiera rígido y ansioso. Ya casi pasado todo eso me está permitiendo recobrar aquel placer, a tal punto que estando una noche lloviznando y algo ansioso decidí salir con el torso descubierto a sentir el contacto del agua con mi piel, dando fe de todo lo dicho en este artículo. Siendo así no sólo que confirmo eso, sino que recomiendo lo antes dicho: ¡el contacto con la Naturaleza siempre nos hará bien!
