Hello dear and dear friends, I hope you are always very, very well

As many people already know, last Sunday was postponed to today, because there was not much attendance to be able to do it, that is why today I make this publication to remind you of it.

Since we are in the anniversary year of the composer Beethoven it seems extremely important to talk about two of his best-known symphonies, "La quinta" that we heard right in the first episode of the podcast and today that we will listen and analyze the famous e imposing Ninth Symphony

I think most of us know that this latest Symphony is extremely important, but ¿why not talk about it a bit before the podcast? So, here are some facts:

One of the many reasons why the Symphony 9 is very important for history is that from this point on there would be a before and an after. Musically speaking, because before this there had been no Symphony that had choirs and soloists in its scores. It was the first Symphony and use this format.

That is why later Mahler would also use this resource in several of his symphonies, precisely because the public and the musician liked it as much. Something very new and different.

As a curious fact, it is important to mention that from this point on, all composing musicians were going to have a certain fear of composing a "Ninth Symphony", basically for two reasons:

opera594592_1280.jpg

1) From the creation of this Symphony everyone, absolutely everyone was going to compare each Ninth Symphony of different composers to see if it was better or worse than this one. That is why many people avoided reaching his Symphony 9.

2) It is said that there was or is a curse that made composers die after composing their 9th Symphony, as there is an extremely long list that of course we will reveal in today's podcast.

That said, you are highly invited to be part of the fourth episode of the podcast "On a walk through music" today at 5:00 p.m. Argentina, 4:00 p.m. Venezuela time, on the discord servers of my dear @cervantes

All welcome!
