Hello friends how are you!!! I hope you are all well, today I come here to tell you a little of what I do day by day. After the arrival of the pandemic that we all know our life changed a little, we had to adapt to new things, adopt new habits, such as the use of mouth covers, physical distancing and finally a lot of measures that made us change our lifestyle to which we were accustomed and well was no exception for me, from being full in the hospital guards, classes and many evaluations, to be locked at home watching series, movies and preparing many desserts at the beginning of the quarantine and more than a year ago.
[Quiero mostrarle el equipo de trabajo familiar, están presente la Dra. Rita Garcia y su Secretaria la Lic. Solvei Grarcia, ambas tías mías / I want to show you the family work team, Dr. Rita Garcia and her secretary Solvei Grarcia, both my aunts, are present.]
But I want to tell you about one of the things I am currently doing, and that is that I am a medical assistant in a gastroenterology office, but it is much more than that, I am an apprentice of one of the best, my aunt who works as a gastroenterologist and my other aunt who is a secretary in the same office, thanks to her that gives me opportunities to keep learning and be active in what I love so much, it has also helped me to be closer to them, share very nice moments, go for a coffee at the clinic, share a snack, talk and be closer to them, because being studying away from home, also makes sharing time is great, it is to feel like family.
[Acá me encuentro donde hacemos el abordaje al paciente.
Nota: No mostré ningún paciente, ya que es importante indicar que se necesita de la aprobación de ellos para poderlos publicar / Here I am where we make the approach to the patient.
Note: I did not show any patient, since it is important to indicate that you need their approval to be able to publish them.]
[Una de nuestras rutas para llegar al consultorio / One of our routes to the office.]
Now talking about my functions, the main one, is to learn more every day, every day I hear cases like abdominal pain, food poisoning, parasites, colitis and stronger things like gastric cancer, intestinal obstruction, etc, which I always pay much attention, because the end is that we must always learn something new every day.
I follow an initial approach for patients, such as taking blood pressure, weight, heart rate, oximetry and primary review, in addition to gastric issues go hand in hand with nutrition, so I always like to give them tips to make the healing process easier, modify certain dishes, and what snacks they can eat, how often and what food can worsen clinical symptoms.
[Proceso de colonoscopia / Colonoscopy process.]
I also assist you in gastric studies, which are indicated to those patients who require it, such as endoscopy, colonoscopies, gastric balloons, polypectomy, abdomino-renal ultrasound, etc., all for the diagnosis of certain diseases or for a better approach to the clinical treatment of patients.
[Acá completamente listo, con la vestimenta adecuada y las normas de bioseguridad para el procedimiento de una endoscopia / Here you are completely ready, with the appropriate clothing and biosafety standards for an endoscopy procedure.]
I feel very happy to be able to live this experience in these times, because we must always keep learning from what we can, go looking for opportunities, because even if we see things a little difficult, we must not give up, in my case, my university has been closed for a year without any activity, that puts me in a somewhat stressful situation and I can not deny that we can fall into moments of anxiety, I have shared this experience with my colleagues, but I know how strong we are because we move forward, that's what life is about, to continue and not to give up.
[Paseando un poco por la clínica, en la foto la Dra. Rita. / Strolling around the clinic, in the picture Dr. Rita.]
