Gbagyi is a tribe found within north central of Nigeria, which include KADUNA, KOGI, NASARAWA, NIGER AND ABUJA. They are well known as the indigenes of Abuja, the Federal capital city of Nigeria. For Abuja often regard as no man’s land. Their major occupation is farming and the major cultivation is yam planting. The tribe usually installed as the traditional ruler in the six-area council of Abuja.
. With the title” ESU”, according to history, the first settler was a hunter who went to hunt in PAIKOKUN LAND, a thick forest in Abuja.
MISS gbagyi Nigeria is a beauty pageant program established since 2014 by some learned gbagyi fellas to unite and empower girl childs of the tribe throughout the five state that they can be find. The last event took place at art and culture on 12th December 2019. The program was unable to hold in 2020 due to problem of the pandemic. 2021 edition took place on 10th of December 20221 at top rank galaxy hotel utako, Abuja. the federal capital territory of Nigeria.
The contestants have went through series of screening exercise before making it to the grand finale. Ranging from audition to one week camping activities and the ground finale.
There are 22 contestants grouped into four different teams which are:
TEAM AMAZING
TEAM GEORGEOUS
TEAM BEAUY
TEAM ADORABLE
The contestants came out in team and display different dance steps, where criteria for selection is being observed and later appear in traditional attires. And three queens were selected to be crowned: queen humanity, queen unity and finally MISS GBAGYI Nigeria 2021.
The winner went home with a brand-new Honda car and some cash price.
and finally cash price of every participant curtsey of senator Aduda, the senator representing Abuja at the national assembly.
