CUANDO LLEGA LA NAVIDAD A CASA

Cuando llega la Navidad la casa parece inundarse especialmente de recuerdos y momentos. Se trata de una fecha muchas veces muy dolorosa que intensifica las emociones y parece envolvernos en un doloroso proceso de rememoración…
No se puede hablar de la navidad sin considerar la reunión familiar, la decoración navideña, los regalos… a pesar de las situaciones conflictivas y de extrema pobreza que se extienden a lo largo y ancho del mundo. Cuando llega la navidad el optimismo, la esperanza y valores como la generosidad, la solidaridad y la paz, se apoderan de todos nosotros. A eso llamamos el Espíritu de la Navidad, una fiesta que nos permite renacer y estar más en familia y entre amigos.

El Espíritu Navideño nos hace sentirnos más cercanos a los demás y recuperar ese sentido infantil que dejamos a un lado el resto del año. Y que mejor forma de hacerlo que reunir a toda la familia para celebrar el nacimiento del Niño Jesús, la llegada de Papá Noel o el Día de Reyes.
La Navidad, aparte de todas las luces, de los regalos y las comidas, es el momento del año que nos invita a renovar nuestros sentimientos y nuestras emociones. Pero, además, hace renacer en el seno familiar y entre los amigos la unión, con actitudes de generosidad, de amor y de paz. Vivir la Navidad es hacer una reflexion sobre en qué podemos mejorar como personas, como padres, como hijos.
Personalmente considero que el árbol de la navidad es uno de los elementos principales de la temporada, es símbolo de vida que da sustento, sombra y cobijo. Al estar apuntando hacia el cielo, varias culturas los relacionan con lo divino. El Árbol de la navidad tiene un efecto sanador y, solo por eso, merece la pena colocarlo cada año. Lo que supone abastecerse de todos los elementos que adornan un árbol de navidad, elegir el tipo de árbol, bolas, estrellas, cintas, espumillón y hasta el estilo que mejor nos define. Porque, aunque no te lo creas, tu árbol de navidad habla mucho de ti. Dice si eres tan cuidadosa como para elegir cada una de los detalles que penden de sus ramitas. O eres tan transgresora como para haberte hecho uno con tres troncos de maderas. Poner el árbol de Navidad supone un acto en sí mismo que, como no, habla de cada uno de nosotros.
Pienso que, así como con todos los elementos que nos rodean que son mínimamente importantes en nuestra vida y el árbol de navidad lo es, desde el momento en el que lo ponemos años tras años.
A pesar de todo, la Navidad es tiempo de amar, soñar, compartir, de inculcar y fomentar los valores y el espíritu navideño, de dar alegría, esperanza y de poder realizar nuestros deseos e ilusiones, de juntarnos en familia, es tiempo de unión y de sacar toda nuestra fuerza y mejor sonrisa.
“Aunque se pierdan otras cosas a lo largo de los años, mantengamos la Navidad como algo brillante. Regresemos a nuestra fe infantil”

WHEN CHRISTMAS ARRIVES AT HOME.

When Christmas arrives the house seems to be especially flooded with memories and moments. It is often a very painful date that intensifies the emotions and seems to involve us in a painful process of remembrance...
It is impossible to talk about Christmas without considering the family reunion, the Christmas decorations, the gifts... in spite of the conflictive situations and extreme poverty that spread throughout the world. When Christmas comes, optimism, hope and values such as generosity, solidarity and peace take hold of all of us. That is what we call the Christmas Spirit, a holiday that allows us to be reborn and to be more with family and friends.
The Christmas Spirit makes us feel closer to others and recover that childlike sense that we put aside the rest of the year. And what better way to do this than to bring the whole family together to celebrate the birth of the Child Jesus, the arrival of Santa Claus or Three Kings Day.
Christmas, apart from all the lights, gifts and meals, is the time of the year that invites us to renew our feelings and emotions. But, in addition, it also brings about a rebirth of unity within the family and among friends, with attitudes of generosity, love and peace. To live Christmas is to reflect on what we can improve as people, as parents, as children.

I personally consider that the Christmas tree is one of the main elements of the season, it is a symbol of life that gives sustenance, shade and shelter. As it is pointing towards the sky, several cultures relate it to the divine. The Christmas tree has a healing effect and, for that reason alone, it is worth putting it up every year. Which means stocking up on all the elements that adorn a Christmas tree, choosing the type of tree, balls, stars, ribbons, tinsel and even the style that best defines us. Because, believe it or not, your Christmas tree says a lot about you. It says if you are so careful as to choose each of the details that hang from its branches. Or you are so transgressive as to have made one with three logs of wood. Putting up the Christmas tree is an act in itself that, of course, speaks of each one of us.
I think that, as with all the elements that surround us that are minimally important in our lives, and the Christmas tree is, from the moment we put it up year after year.

In spite of everything, Christmas is a time to love, to dream, to share, to instill and foster values and the Christmas spirit, to give joy, hope and to be able to realize our desires and illusions, to get together as a family, it is a time of union and to bring out all our strength and best smile.
"Even if other things are lost over the years, let's keep Christmas as something bright. Let us return to our childlike faith."
