Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.
Dentro de la fotografía existen tres parámetros super importantes a los cuales debemos prestar toda la atención a la hora de realizar una foto ya sea con una cámara profesional o con el mismo teléfono celular. El diafragma, la velocidad de obturación y el ISO, del cual hablaremos hoy, son conocidos como la Santísima Trinidad dentro de este mundo de la fotografía y por tal motivo creo importante que tocar y explicar como funcionan.
In photography there are three super important parameters to which we must pay full attention when taking a photo either with a professional camera or with the same cell phone. The diaphragm, shutter speed and ISO, which we will talk about today, are known as the Holy Trinity in this world of photography and for this reason I think it is important to touch and explain how they work.

Entonces, ¿Qué es el ISO?
La sensibilidad ISO es la capacidad que posee el sensor de nuestras cámaras para una mejor captación de la luz. Es decir, mientras mayor sea el número o valor de este parámetro, mayor será su capacidad para "atrapar" la luz; a menor valor pues será lo inverso, la cámara tendrá menos capacidad de captar la luz. Esto lo pueden apreciar en la foto que les muestro como referencia.
ISO sensitivity is the ability of the sensor of our cameras to better capture light. In other words, the greater the number or value of this parameter, the greater its ability to "trap" light; the lower the value as it will be the reverse, the camera will have less ability to capture light. This can be seen in the photo that I show you as a reference.
Y es que por acá lo he dicho muchas veces, ***sin la luz la fotografía no existiría*** y por tal motivo es que esta y su manejo es tan importante para nosotros los fotógrafos. El ISO es vital cuando estamos haciendo fotografías con la luz natural ya que esta es en exceso cambiante y es en esos instantes cuando debemos saber cual es el valor adecuado para una mejor fotografía.
And it is that here I have said it many times, without light photography would not exist and for this reason it is that this and its handling is so important for us photographers. ISO is vital when we are taking photographs with natural light since it is excessively changeable and it is in those moments when we must know what is the appropriate value for a better photograph.

Los valores del ISO en las cámaras van a depender del modelo de las mismas, los más actualizados pueden llegar a 25600 aunque sea extremadamente raro usar números tan altos. Por lo general un ISO en 3200 o 6400 es un valor exagerado pero eso es algo que no está escrito y no es exacto por lo que no sabemos cuando una foto o locación lo pueda necesitar.
The ISO values in the cameras will depend on the model of the same, the most updated can reach 25600 although it is extremely rare to use such high numbers. Usually an ISO in 3200 or 6400 is an exaggerated value but that is something that is not written and is not exact so we do not know when a photo or location may need it.

Muy en lo personal, salvo estemos trabajando bajo poca luz, recomiendo mantener el ISO lo más bajo sea posible. ¿Por qué? - porque cuando aumentamos el ISO por lo general comienza a aparecer el ***ruido digital*** que no es más que esas pequeñas manchas o pixeles ocasionadas por el esfuerzo que realiza la cámara en la búsqueda de más luz.
Very personally, unless we are working in low light, I recommend keeping the ISO as low as possible. Why? - because when we increase the ISO, digital noise usually begins to appear, which is nothing more than those small spots or pixels caused by the effort made by the camera in search of more light.
Un ISO en 100-200 es el ideal para fotos al aire libre, con una buena luz natural, empezamos a subir a 200-400 en caso de que aparezcan esas grandes nubes grises que oscurezcan el panorama, se nos fue el día y cae la tarde/noche y la luz artificial que haya en el sitio no nos ayude mucho podríamos llegar a 800 como demasiado exagerado a 1600. Una vez llegues a este número y aún así la foto no sea la mejor, es mejor o buscar un flash zapata o un lugar con una mayor iluminación.
An ISO at 100-200 is ideal for outdoor photos, with good natural light, we start to go up to 200-400 in case those big gray clouds appear that obscure the panorama; the day is gone and the night falls and the artificial light that is in the site does not help us much, we could reach 800 as too exaggerated to 1600. Once you reach this number and even then the photo is not the best, it is better to look for a FLASH or a place with more lighting.
En conclusión, el ISO es algo que mucha gente no le presta la atención que amerita pero deberían. Un mal manejo de este parámetro puede dañar una foto por lo que si están comenzando en este mundo, más cuidado con el ISO.
In conclusion, ISO is something that many people do not pay the attention it deserves but should it. A bad handling of this parameter can damage a photo so if you are starting in this world, be more careful with the ISO.
