Sí, así es, aunque parezca poco común disfruto sumergirme en un buen libro casi que de cualquier género: ciencia ficción, auto-ayuda, novelas, cuentos, auto-biografías, filosofía, teología, etc. Siempre que haya un buena temática, tenga buena trama e hilo conductor puedo entrar de tal manera en él que no pesa nada para mí hacer este ejercicio de lectura continua.
Cuáles son las razones que me motivan a leer o por qué me gusta hacerlo. Puedo resumir todo de la siguiente manera:
Yes, that's right, although it seems unusual I enjoy immersing myself in a good book almost of any genre: science fiction, self-help, novels, short stories, autobiographies, philosophy, theology, etc. As long as there is a good theme, a good plot and a good thread, I can enter it in such a way that it does not weigh anything for me to do this exercise of continuous reading.
What are the reasons that motivate me to read or why I like to do it. I can summarize everything in the following way:

No leo por leer, para que los demás digan: “oh, cuánto sabe”, no, sino simplemente por el placer que me produce aprender sobre determinada temática o asunto que plantee “x” o “y” libro. Por eso, lo primero que me mueve a la lectura es la oportunidad que se me ofrece de crecer en el conocimiento, tanto teórico como práctico.
Al leer mi mente vuela y a través de la imaginación voy ideando cada escena que pasa por mis ojos, por eso, lo encuentro como una forma de mantener despierto mis sentidos por los cuáles entro en contacto con todo lo que existe no como alguien inerte sino para marcar mi huella en todo, viviéndolo desde mi personalidad.
A veces, tenemos un concepto errado de la inteligencia, creemos que es saber mucho, y no, no es así, ya que como me gusta interpretar su etimología, la palabra inteligencia (inter-legere) significa “leer adentro” o, tal vez más acertado, “leer entre líneas”, pues bien, un ejercicio continuo de ella a mí me ayuda a ser efectivamente más inteligente, saber interpretar lo que leo.

When I read my mind flies and through my imagination I create each scene that passes through my eyes, so I find it as a way to keep my senses awake by which I come in contact with everything that exists not as someone inert but to mark my mark in everything, living it from my personality.
Sometimes, we have an erroneous concept of intelligence, we believe that it is to know much, and no, it is not like that, since as I like to interpret its etymology, the word intelligence (inter-legere) means "to read inside" or, perhaps more correctly, "to read between the lines", well, a continuous exercise of it to me helps me to be more intelligent indeed, to know how to interpret what I read.
- Así como el cuerpo necesita alimentarse, considero que nuestra alma y nuestro espíritu también, pero a diferencia de aquél que lo hace con alimento material, éste necesita uno que aunque es intangible es igual o más fortalecedor ante la diversidad de situaciones humanas.
Por poner sólo un ejemplo, por el cual tal vez todos hemos pasado, ¿cuántas veces nos hemos sentido desanimado y una buena lectura, motivacional o espiritual, nos ha cambiado el semblante?
- Finalmente, pero no menos importante, me he dado cuenta que una conversación con una persona que es ávida lectora es más agradable, nutritiva y positiva que con una que no tiene este hábito y además no es reflexiva, esa conversación se siente vacía, que no suma nada a tu vida.
No me gustaría ser una persona que no aporte nada a nadie por eso también me gusta leer, para dar soporte y fundamento a mis ideas cuando hablo con los demás.
Quiero aclarar que, evidentemente la lectura no es lo único importante en una conversación, ella no es la única condición para que una conversación sea constructiva, ya que hay muchos otros elementos, pero este está entre uno de ellos.

I wouldn't like to be a person who doesn't add anything to anyone so I also like to read, to give support and foundation to my ideas when I talk to others.
I want to clarify that, obviously, reading is not the only important thing in a conversation, it is not the only condition for a conversation to be constructive, since there are many other elements, but this is among them.
