by sunlight filtering through lace curtains
and fruit juice dripping down my wrist
and early summer's soft petals

and uncontrollable laughter
and understanding looks
and words that heal
because their speaker chose to listen first
and whispers from a God who loves me at my worst
All these things and more are blessed
I've found something holy in all my days
