Happy Friday my Hive Family😀
While my parents were visiting us for the weekend, we had a chance to take my mom on the skytrain and seabus for the first time.
She has never been on the skytrain since we always drive to places when my parents visit.
We decided to take a day trip to Vancouver Waterfront and from there take the seabus to North Vancouver.
Our skytrain ride started from Surrey where the skytrain station starts and we went all the way to the end of the skytrain station in Waterfront Vancouver.
The ride took as about 45 minutes and it cost us $10 each since we bought a day pass.
My mom did not like the skytrain at all. She got sick from the ride since she was sitting backwards and looking through the window and seeing things go by fast got her sick. Plus the little shaking of the skytrain did not help.
My mom did not want to go on the seabus after that because she thought the seabus will make her even more sick, but I made sure she sits right at the front of the seabus where she can see everything so that she doesn't get sick.
The seabus is pretty stable and does not really move on the waves so I knew that my mom will not get from the boat ride.
North Vancouver.
She really liked the seabus and really enjoyed the view. The seabuss took us about 20 minutes.
The beautiful sunny day made the trip so much more beautiful.

Going back to Waterfront Vancouver. As you can see it's not as sunny anymore, so the pictures did not turned out as nice.
On the way back we made sure that my mom sits right at the front of the skytrain so that she can see everything in front of her through a big windshield.
She liked that way better and shd did not get sick this way but..... we had a guy sitting right next to us who was singing but more like screaming pretty much all the way, which was not so pleasant and my mom was so not used to all this noise that she said she will not go back on the skytrain again😉.
I guess the skytrain is not maid for my mom. But at least we know for the next time. And at least she has gone on the skytrain and seabus.
