RE: A gutsy entrepreneur is opening the twice failed fruit and veggie market

in GEMS3 years ago

We have been fortunate our little grocery store remains open fresh fruit and veg are available. Owner also support people in community who deliver homemade food or breads to her store to sell on their behalf, so more than just supporting one store owner.

Similar happens from local biltong and flower store where home bottled produce or home baked goods are placed on a table selling on behalf of community members.

Always wonderful when communities support each other in preference to going directly into big stores for the one stop shop.

Good morning Joan, I have noticed that there are cheaper fruit and veggies at the market in the past that are always great to buy but the high quality products are more expensive. I think they are worth the money.
Your local grocery store sounds ideally handy, it must have a lot of character. Happy Sunday to you.

Our market if it is still in the same place is other side of the city, local adhoc farmers markets sprout up in different places or events.

Now I rely on weekly purchase at small corner shop where they support local produce and collect from the market. Handy supporting Mom and Pop run stores one can be selective in what you buy no matter where you go 😉, have a wonderful Sunday too.
