Hola amigos.
En la casa hay varios tipos de plantas. Entre ellas una llamada comúnmente Rosa del Desierto. Sus flores son realmente hermosas. Por ello se las quiero mostrar. Pero, como me gusta hacerle seguimiento a los procesos naturales, cuando tengo oportunidad, voy a presentar momentos distintos de la formación de las flores hasta el que están completamente formadas.
Conozcamos, primero, un poco sobre la Rosa del desierto. Es nativa de África y Arabia. Es un arbusto que puede alcanzar los tres metros de altura. Sin embargo, para mi gusto, es mejor no dejarla crecer mucho. Su tallo es suculento. A nivel del suelo forma un abultamiento. Esto le permite almacenar agua y por ello necesita poco riego. Si se corta el tallo este exuda una savia muy tóxica por lo que debe tener mucho cuidado sobre con los niños. Su nombre científico es Adenium obesum.
Como hice un seguimiento del crecimiento de las flores las fotos las tomé desde diciembre 2021 hasta abril 2022.
Veamos la planta de la casa.
Rosa del Desierto. Se observa en la parte central una rama de la planta con sus hojas en grupos redondos. Se nota la presencia de otras plantas que por la época crecen bastante.
Rosa del Desierto. Esta fue tomada recientemente, abril 2022. Época de extrema sequía en esta zona. Algunas plantas se secaron y otras para salvarlas se colocaron en porrones. Se observa, a ras del suelo, el abultamiento que está formando la planta para almacenar agua.

En el extremo de las ramas, donde se ven como puntos negros, comenzará el crecimiento de la flor.

Ya se aprecian mejor los capullos de las flores.
Los capullos florales están cada vez más grandes y hay mayor cantidad en la planta.

Por fin abrieron las flores. He tomado tantas fotos de estas bellas flores que espero que la selección que hice sea de su agrado.

Veamos ahora el interior de estas flores para apreciar un poco su pistilo, sus estambres.
En estas imágenes, sobre todo en la última, se puede apreciar los estambres de la flor de la Rosa del Desierto.
Esta planta tardo bastante en florear. Cuando floreó lo hizo en una sola punta de rama. Pero ahora lo hace más seguido y en varias ramas. En este momento que estoy elaborando la publicación esta sin flores. En una de las primeras fotos, donde se nota la formación del abultamiento del tallo, se observa que no tiene flores, pero pronto surgirán nuevas flores.
Nunca he tratado de multiplicarla, por lo de la savia tóxica. Sin embargo, estoy pensando en hacerlo tomando mis precauciones y leyendo sobre como se realiza la multiplicación.

But, since I like to follow natural processes, when I have the opportunity, I will present different moments from the formation of the flowers to when they are fully formed.
Let's get to know, first, a little about the Desert Rose. It is native to Africa and Arabia. It is a shrub that can reach three meters in height. However, for my taste, it is better not to let it grow much. Its stem is succulent. At ground level it forms a bulge. This allows it to store water and therefore needs little irrigation. If the stem is cut, it exudes a very toxic sap, so be very careful with children. Its scientific name is Adenium obesum.
As I tracked the growth of the flowers, I took the photos from December 2021 to April 2022.

In these images, especially in the last one, you can see the stamens of the Desert Rose flower.
This plant takes a long time to flower. When it flowered it did so on a single branch tip. But now it does it more often and in several branches. At this moment that I am preparing the publication, it is without flowers. In one of the first photos, where the formation of the bulge of the stem is noticeable, it is observed that it does not have flowers, but soon new flowers will appear.
I've never tried to multiply it, because of the toxic sap. However, I am thinking of doing it taking my precautions and reading up on how multiplication is done.
