It's been a while! i rarely visit hive due to some business going on in my life right now.
Also the last time i visited, the blogsite has been down and i always get error notifications anywhere i click, but i think hardfork was still on going that time.
I am sad right now and blogging is what i thought of mending it... so

P.S I know how to write hiragana/katakana, in case you are wondering why i know how to write it. I studied nihonggo (Japanese) for a month and i only know the basics.
Whenever i go to Japanese surplus, calligraphy items are always around, i can't help but feel the urge to buy it, I've always thought of trying it out, since it's japanesey. I love japans culture, who doesn't anyway. hahah
I poured a bit of water in the grinding stone and started stroking the inkstick in it, a very traditional way of having an ink.
i rubbed the calligraphy brush to soften it.

This is the part where i realized i have a bad handwriting in calligraphy, the japanese characters are my name in katakana, it is read as Juderin Viriaruta (Judelyn Villarta).
as it dries, the ink doesn't look thick at all, maybe i poured too much water or maybe my grinding wasn't enough for the ink to get thicker.
Trying out kanji character
the Kanji writing is read as Ai あい which means love in Japanese
so i tried the calligraphy ink i bought in Daiso and i love it, the ink is thicker than the one i made. So i probably would use this one more than the inkstick.
i feel like mangaka artists uses those inks for their drawings so i want to try it using my calligraphy pen with the Daiso ink
Yep ! I'm not disappointed i love Daiso's ink very good for line art i think, hahaha
