Hoy he leído muchos posts en la comunidad haciendo referencia al teletrabajo o trabajo en remoto, y me ha hecho pensar, bueno aunque esto es algo que yo tengo y siempre tuve claro, pero me hizo pensarlo otra vez.
Tengamos en cuenta, que cuando hablo en términos generales, me refiero a la sociedad Española, a la imagen que tengo de ella y lo que percibo como ciudadano.
Entiendo que muchos puestos de trabajo no pueden ser cubiertos con trabajo remoto, como un recepcionista en un Hotel, un camarero... pero estos puestos de trabajo pronto serán sustituidos por inteligencia artificial supervisada (o no) remotamente, el trabajo de lo que es hoy un camarero, puede ser en un futuro no muy lejano entrenar a un modelo de inteligencia artificial para que ofrezca un servicio como lo ofrecería ese camarero, una inteligencia artificial entrenada por cada uno de nosotros, que nos represente, que sea un YO virtual.
Mientras no llege ese punto, los camareros (es la profesión que se me viene a la cabeza) tienen que seguir acudiendo a su puesto de trabajo, no puede hacerse remotamente, por lo que estan sacrificando su tiempo, su vida sin opción a otras alternativas dentro del mismo sector, puede haber mucha gente que sea feliz y sea su modo de vida haciendolo y me parece maravilloso, pero una gran parte de lo que yo conozco, van obligados a su trabajo porque necesitan dinero, por lo tanto, ni son productivos, ni es gente feliz, y no se contribuye a una sociedad mas sana y feliz.
El trabajo en remoto, todavía no esta muy bien visto, es como si los jefes necesitaran supervisar lo que hacemos, como lo hacemos, cuando lo hacemos... en parte lo entiendo, porque la gente no es reponsable, si los dejas solos sin supervisión no harian nada, imagínate dejandolos en su casa trabajando... pero eso tiene que cambiar, si una persona simplemente no es capaz de ser responsable con su trabajo de forma independiente, fuera y que venga otra, acabaran aprendiendo con el tiempo.
Yo de ejemplo voy a poner mi caso, yo siempre he trabajo de forma remota, a mi aire, a mi manera... con un nivel de productividad por encima de lo normal, no necesito que nadie me vigile, si hoy no tengo ganas de trabajar, o simplemente no tengo la cabeza, estoy para problemas pero no estoy en modo creativo, pues voy hacer lo mismo esté en casa o esté en una oficina, exactamente lo mismo, con la diferencia, de que mañana sin importarme si es lunes, sabado, si son las 8 de la mañana, las 8 de la tarde, dedicaré unas horas a recuperar el trabajo que no pude realizar y ponerme al día....
Eso la gente normal no lo hace, porque son mercenarios, simples mercenarios del sistema, con un horario que tienen que cumplir para cobrar a final de mes.
Y esto no es bueno ni para la empresa, ni para la gente... de que le sirve a la empresa que yo este 8 horas en la oficina si hoy tengo mal dia y no stoy centrado para trabajar? de nada. En cambio, si estoy en mi casa, en un entorno comodo para mi, pues quizas las primeras 2 horas no esté centrado, pero las 6 restantes haga mi trabajo multiplicando mi rendimiento x10, porque estoy comodo, porque estoy motivado, porque tengo sentido de la reponsabilidad y porque no soy un mercenario.
Por suerte, hoy por hoy me permiten pasar mas tiempo trabajando en remoto, no me obligan a ir a una oficina donde no me siento comodo. Eso hace que yo este contento, que este feliz, que tenga malos dias por supuesto como todos, pero mi sentido de la responsabilidad hace que nunca tenga trabajo atrasado, sé lo que tengo que hacer, lo que esperan de mi, para lo que estoy... lo tengo claro.
Y es que tener a un empleado contento, es beneficioso tanto para la empresa como para el empleado, nada de va a dar mejor rendimiento que un empleado contento y feliz, y un empleado contento y feliz se consigue sin obligaciones absurdas. Mi trabajo lo hago de forma remota mucho mejor que si estuviera en la oficina, porque estoy mas comodo y agusto, si me obligasen a ir iría de mala gana muchos días, y me convertiría en un mercenario mas que hace sus horas para cobrar, yo no quiero eso, yo quiero ser feliz, trabajar siendo feliz, que mi jefe este contento con mi rendimiento sin importar desde donde trabaje, que se valore mi trabajo, mi responsabilidad, mi involucración con mi trabajo, no desde donde o como trabajo, eso estoy capacitado para decidirlo yo y gracias a eso tengo un rendimiento mucho mejor.
Y esto debería ser lo normal, pero no lo es, los empresarios, las empresas quieren tener a sus empleados X horas en una oficina, obligados, lo que convierte a tus empleados en mercenarios que solo acudirán para cobrar porque lo necesitan, pero que en realidad no les importa en absoluto ni su rendimiento, ni lo que hacen, porque lo hacen obligados y de mala gana.
Luego vienen las bajas, bajas medicas, bajo rendimiento, enfermedades mentales... todo eso se evitaría con gente, con trabajadores responsables, con empresas que fomenten el trabajo en remoto, el bienestar de un empleado...
Enfin, ojalá pronto, muy pronto avancemos como personas responsables, y todos podamos trabajar de forma que nos sintamos felices y cómodos, las empresas algún día entenderán que un empleado contento y feliz hace el trabajo con un rendimiento increíblemente mas alto y una involucración en la empresa mucho mayor.

Let's keep in mind, that when I speak in general terms, I am referring to the Spanish society, to the image I have of it and what I perceive as a citizen.
I understand that many jobs cannot be covered by remote work, such as a receptionist in a Hotel, a waiter... but these jobs will soon be replaced by artificial intelligence supervised (or not) remotely, the job of what is today a waiter, may be in the not too distant future to train a model of artificial intelligence to offer a service as that waiter would offer, an artificial intelligence trained by each of us, to represent us, to be a virtual ME.
Until that point is reached, waiters (this is the profession that comes to my mind) have to continue going to their job, it can not be done remotely, so they are sacrificing their time, their life without the option of other alternatives within the same sector, there may be many people who are happy and it is their way of life doing it and I think it's wonderful, but a large part of what I know, are forced to work because they need money, therefore, they are not productive, nor are they happy people, and they do not contribute to a healthier and happier society.
Remote work is still not very well seen, it is as if the bosses need to supervise what we do, how we do it, when we do it... in part I understand it, because people are not responsible, if you leave them alone without supervision they would not do anything, imagine leaving them at home working... but that has to change, if a person is simply not able to be responsible with their work independently, go and let someone else come, they will end up learning with time.
As an example I will give you my case, I have always worked remotely, at my own pace, in my own way.... with a level of productivity above normal, I do not need anyone to watch me, if today I do not feel like working, or just do not have the head, I'm for problems but I'm not in creative mode, I will do the same whether at home or in an office, exactly the same, with the difference that tomorrow no matter if it's Monday, Saturday, if it's 8 am, 8 pm, I will spend a few hours to recover the work I could not do and get up to date ....
Normal people don't do that, because they are mercenaries, simple mercenaries of the system, with a schedule that they have to fulfill to get paid at the end of the month.
And this is not good neither for the company, nor for the people... what good is it for the company that I am 8 hours in the office if today I have a bad day and I am not focused to work... nothing. On the other hand, if I am at home, in a comfortable environment for me, maybe the first 2 hours I am not focused, but the remaining 6 hours I do my job multiplying my performance x10, because I am comfortable, because I am motivated, because I have a sense of responsibility and because I am not a mercenary.
Fortunately, nowadays I am allowed to spend more time working remotely, I am not forced to go to an office where I don't feel comfortable. That makes me happy, happy, I have bad days of course like everyone, but my sense of responsibility makes me never have backlog, I know what I have to do, what they expect from me, what I'm for ... I have it clear.
And having a happy employee is beneficial for both the company and the employee, nothing is going to give better performance than a happy and content employee, and a happy and content employee is achieved without absurd obligations. I do my work remotely much better than if I were in the office, because I am more comfortable and comfortable, if I were forced to go I would go reluctantly many days, and I would become another mercenary who does his hours to get paid, I do not want that, I want to be happy, work being happy, that my boss is happy with my performance no matter where I work, that my work is valued, my responsibility, my involvement with my work, not from where or how I work, that I am able to decide it and thanks to that I have a much better performance.
And this should be normal, but it is not, employers, companies want to have their employees X hours in an office, forced, which turns your employees into mercenaries who will only come to get paid because they need it, but in reality they do not care at all or their performance, or what they do, because they do it forced and unwillingly.
Then come the sick leaves, medical leaves, low performance, mental illnesses... all that would be avoided with people, with responsible workers, with companies that promote remote work, the welfare of an employee...
Anyway, hopefully soon, very soon we will move forward as responsible people, and we can all work in a way that we feel happy and comfortable, companies will someday understand that a happy and content employee does the job with an incredibly higher performance and a much greater involvement in the company.
