Finally the rain storm has arrived! We had two nights of very strong wind and thunder rumbling followed by rain. The trees and land breathed a sign of relief. They have been waiting for this rain since last week. I had been praying hard during the past two weeks for the unseasonable rain storm. So, I was very grateful to the rain god and nature for bringing this wonderful rain storm to this area.
We are very lucky to be located in a very special area where we are protected by very strong gust wind which carries roofs away or brings down old trees. The severe drought in other area in which the riverbed is dried up in summer does not affect this section. The river here seems to be deep enough to keep rowing boats afloat and still makes it possible for fishermen to make a living. I am so amazed by Mother Earth in designing the contour and height of the land just right for our sustainable lifestyle.
We have quite a big garden with some original forest trees which give us nice shade in hot weather. The fruit trees took their time to grow as the top soil was not very good from the beginning. But we continue to use only organic fertiliser and pesticides which has paid off in terms of naturally sweet taste of all fruits. This has made me stopped buying fruits from supermarkets. Once we taste the fruits without any chemical fertiliser, we could taste a big difference in other marketed fruits. Our patience has been rewarded. It is so nice to see all the colours, flowers and growing fruits in the garden.
My plan and hard work have been vindicated, despite the fact that many people questioned my ability and knowledge in gardening. This has been a learning process and big change in my lifestyle which proved to be very rewarding in terms of satisfaction. My physical and mental health has much improved over the last two years. I would love to show off my garden to some old friends one day, so they could be persuaded to leave city lifestyle for a more grounding and self-sufficient lifestyle in the countryside.
เราดีใจมากที่สองวันที่ผ่านมา พายุฝนมาถึงแล้ว ตอนแรกลมสลาตันมาก่อนหนึ่งวัน วันต่อมามีเสียงฟ้าคำรามเป็นชั่วโมง ตามด้วยฟ้าแลบหลายสิบครั้ง เราก็เตรียมเก็บของและปิดหน้าต่างรอพายุฝน ในที่สุดฝนก็โปรยปรายลงมา สร้างความชื่นฉ่ำและสดชื่นให้กับผืนดินที่แห้งจนแตกระแหงไปทั่ว ต้นไม้กลับมามีชีวิตชีวามีสีเขียวสดใสในวันรุ่งขึ้น ดอกไม้ก็ออกดอกกันมากขึ้น เราเดินสำรวจสวนและถ่ายรูปอย่างมีความสุข
แม่น้ำก็ดูดีขึ้นมีนํ้าฝนลงมาเติมพลัง เหล่าปลาคงมีความสุขมากขึ้นด้วย ช่วงที่ผ่านมาน้ำลดลงมาก เพราะเขื่อนในจีนและลาวกักนํ้าเพื่อปั่นไฟฟ้ากัน แต่เราโชคดีที่แม่น้ำแถวนี้ไม่ถึงกับแห้งขอดเหมือนที่อื่น และเวลามีลมพายุนั้นลมก็พัดผ่านไปทางอื่นและไปที่สูงกว่า ทำให้ที่อื่นมีปัญหาหลังคาบ้านถูกลมพายุพัดหายไป เราต้องขอบคุณสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่ดูแลแผ่นดินนี้อย่างดีมาก และช่างออกแบบแม่น้ำและความลาดชันของแผ่นดิน ให้มีความลงตัวเหมาะสำหรับการใชชีวิตแบบเรียบง่ายและพอเพียง
เราคิดว่าในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ เพื่อนที่อยู่ในเมืองหลายคนคงคิดย้ายมาอยู่ต่างจังหวัดกัน เพราะว่าชีวิตในเมืองจะอยู่ได้ยากขึ้น ความปั่นป่วนในสังคมทั่วโลกจะทำให้เมืองไทยพลอยแย่ไปด้วย ปัญหาความล่มสลายทางการเงินที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นในปีนี้จะทำให้คนลำบากลงไปอีก ความวุ่นวายจะทวีคูณเพราะคนไทยรับใบสั่งจากเมืองนอกให้ก่อความวุ่นวายสับสนมากขึ้นไปอีก เราคงต้องเมืองเมืองพม่าที่เป็นสนามของสงครามตัวแทนให้อำนาจต่างชาติ มาทำการแบ่งแยกแล้วปกครองตามสูตรของการล่าอาณานิคมในอดีต ถ้าใครมองเกมส์ไม่ออกก็พลาดตกเป็นเบี้ยให้เขาใช้นั่นเอง ตอนนี้อาจจะเริ่มเข้าขีดอันตรายเข้าไปทุกที อยากให้คนไทยหาข้อมูลนอกกระแสหลักภาษาอังกฤษเป็นกันบ้าง จะได้รับรู้ว่าอำนาจต่างชาติเขากำลังคิดทำอะไรกันอยู่บ้าง ทุกอย่างคงเป็นไปตามกรรม เราก็หวังว่าธรรมะในแผ่นดินจะช่วยผ่อนหนักเป็นเบาได้บ้าง
I have been warning my old friends to start making some plans about the future turmoil later this year. Looking at the nominee’s fightings in Burma, we could see the local puppets working according to outsiders’ orders. Things are being sponsored by foreign funds here too; new fund has arrived which suddenly gave rise to three prongs of organised protests, some of these figures are very well known operators. This is a new sign! Former intelligence has already said Burma is the Syria model to destabilise the whole of SEAsia. We will just wait and see what these three new groups have plans for something nasty later on. They might act as a match to ignite the dry leaves hidden under the carpet! How lucky to have a garden to stay away from the madding crowd! I have to meditate and pray more often!

I find that we are always rewarded when we grow our own without the taste of the chemical fertilizer. Your patience has been rewarded! The turmoil in the world has made me seek out my future in different ways, and the fact that things are being sponsored by Foreign funds gives me just another reason. I too have started my Garden, a way to be self-sustaining. I have many trees and they are doing well. Many is relevant oh, I have enough for my family and then some. The Jasmine at the end are sweet! I can smell them from here.

As you said that we didn’t own the problems in the whole world,my energy has better focus in solving the problems closer to my surroundings. Daily routine and immediate necessities tend to consume most of my time! Being a human being trying to live a spiritual life can be quite exhausting! LoL

Thank you for your kind support. We just plant what we like to eat! Hahaha. I am a beginner in gardening, just learning by doing. Luckily we let the land angels look after the garden most of the time. It’s amazing how these trees and plants survive the bad top soil and severe drought from time to time! So, we agreed it must have been the angels’ hard work on our behalf!lol
