Hollaaa!! It's me again Karla and I just want to show you about what happened during our restaurant making.
It was around December last year when we had our restaurant making. It is our final project for our Food and Beverage subject. The day before the said event me and my classmates preparing for the design and we got home very late because of it but still we are not able to finish it. That is why they told us to be early the day of the event because it will start around 5PM our call time is 7AM and i arrive 8AM because i forgot to set the alarm because i was so tired when i got home last evening during that time.
When i arrived in the venue i helped them right away and it is almost time when we finish. That's why me and my friends go to the CR to prepare ourselves for the event. We have Designated assigned area, Me and my other four friends assigned as a Food server, the other 1 is assigned as a food runner and the other two is assigned as a Front desk. I forgot what my other friends position haha. When we are done preparing ourselves we go to the venue and wait for the time to come but before that we are taking pictures for memories.
It is almost starting and my classmate instructed us what to do and they also assigned all the food server which table we are gonna handle and after that we came in and go to are assigned area. Minutes have passed when the guest entered the Venue so we are smiling when they enter so that they can feel that they are very welcome in our event. My mom and sister came to the event too. They bought two of my tickets, i am about sell it to other but they told me that they will buy it instead because they want to see my progress in
school and also they can show support to me with my project. They came late as usual and my friend assisted them in my table.
When the food is delivered to us by the runner, we the servers are the one who take it from the tray and put it on our guest's table and when i was doing it, i am a bit shaking because i am nervous that i might make a mess but gladly i didn't. Our guest eat POLLO GLASEADO Y TONKATSU as main dish and for the side dish they have Cabbage Medley for Appetizer egg Sarnie with Mayo for Beverage : Citrus coolade and lastly for Desser they ahve Coco rallado. That's what they paid for their ticket and asside from that we had entertainment which is live band and the singer is one of my classmate, she has a very beautiful voice and i can clearly see especially at my table that they were enjoying the food and the entertainment at the front.
How many hours have passed when the event almost ending, the guest is slowly leaving but my sister and mother waited outside the venue even though it is so late in the evening. When there is no guest inside we rest for a bit and gathered because our instructor wants to give us a message regarding the event. We made a little mistake that time and she pointed it out already and i still remember that some of my classmates got emotional maybe there is other reason behind it but still our instructor gave us perfect grade for that event. After that we take a picture as a whole section that includes her.
Before leaving me and my classmates clean the entire area, we had a hard time getting the pictures in the wall because we glued it directly to it. After cleaning the area i went out and go to my mother and sister waiting outside. It is almost 12 Midnight when we got home. I was so but everything is worth it, it is so memorable for me because in a short period of time i experienced what it is like to work in a restaurant. Though working in a real restaurant might be hard than what i experience but i am looking forward to it.
